Suzy Werner celebrated her 96th Birthday on Friday, during her line dancing class which she has been the instructor of for the last 22 years. Suzy is a prime example of what happens to our Seniors when they stay active and socialize with others. KCAL News did a segment on her which was televised on Channel 2. Happy, Happy Birthday Suzy. We appreciate you.
We celebrated International Day on September 21st with our Seniors. We were able to participate in tasting foods from several countries such as Mexico, Cuba, Bang La DeSh, El Salvador, Italy, and Argentina. The Ballet Folklorico Group led by Cece performed as well as Oscar and his lovely partner. We appreciate Destiny Home Health and Royal Benefits Insurance Services for providing resources and raffle prizes won by LaDonna Jempson, Enadina de la Torre and Mary Touray. Great times....
We are on our way to the Fantasy Springs Casino. 56 Seniors from the Moreno Valley Senior Center. Wish us luck.
Our Friends of the Moreno Valley Senior Center provided the MoVan to transport several seniors to the Demonstration Garden in the City of Moreno Valley. We learned when and how to plant certain vegetables, seasonings and flowers. We were given a planter gift and a start-up kit to take home from the City. Lunch was provided by Subway. What a great day!
Meet our MoVan winners for this month-Ms. Juana and Ms. Claudia. Our passengers receive an entry into our monthly drawing for each day they ride the MoVan. Winners receive a $25 Walmart gift card. A little goes a long way.
The Senior Center Staff chose to appreciate their volunteers and instructors who assist in keeping our Seniors engaged and happy. We received a wonderful meal from Golden Corral and appreciation galore. Without the staff-Rudy, Markita, Reyna, Maria and Hector, our Senior Center would not be possible. Thank you from all of us.
Once again, our MOVAN was in the Moreno Valley July 4th Parade.

We appreciate our funders such as City of Moreno Valley, HUD and Riverside County Transportation Commission whose grant monies support our efforts.
Moreno Valley Senior Center Mother's Day Celebration. Sheriff's Dept presented flowers, George's class serenaded the women, Suzi's class provided line dancing boogee, all at the hands of Senior Center staff and the FRIENDS OF Moreno Valley Senior Center. All for the enjoyment of our Seniors.
These are the Volunteers of Friends of Moreno Valley Senior Center who do all the work needed to ensure our Seniors are taken care of. We are the same organization which provides the MoVan Senior Transportation. If you see any of these people, THANK them.
Don't miss out on the next performance here in our own backyard. No cost. Great family entertainment.
We have lost another friend, Mr. Cliff Brown. He would give you the shirt off his back. He had an uncanny sense of humor. Keep his wife Anne in your prayers.
We have lost another Senior, Veteran and Friend. We will miss you Virgil.
We are thankful to "Touch of the Masters" who continue to support our Seniors. We have received a wide variety of donations such as food, beverages and supplies that benefit so many. Thanks go to Lindsay Robinson, one of our lifetime members, who blessed us with this connection.
Amazing Black History Celebration at the Moreno Valley Senior Center, lead by Juanita Cullen-Austin and her team.
