Hi Mindful Steps Friends! I wanted to share that I’m offering a yoga workshop in Fairmont this Saturday, August 3rd, 1-3:30pm.
Back in Action : Postures, Breathwork and Meditation to Relieve Back Pain
It would be lovely to see you in person!
https://thatyogastudio.studiogrowth.com/classpack/3314
💚 These practices have been a game changer for when I’m experiencing pain! The ability to listen to the needs of my body and incorporate mindfulness through movement, breathwork, and meditation allows me to access stepping stones of comfort and confidence in my daily life.
💚
The “Back in Action” workshop will be full of conversation, exploration, and hopefully self-care epiphanies so YOU can find more comfort and confidence when faced with back pain.
💚

** Book credit: “Science of Yoga: Understanding the Anatomy and Physiology to Perfect your Practice” by Ann Swanson 🙌
Before class, I (Julie) told an anecdote about our burst pipe leak and the ugly discarded insulation. When I let go a bit of the "extra" catastrophising, I suddenly saw it looked like a funny little person slouching in the chair, lol 😆
Mindfulness works to give us some space from our thoughts so that we can choose whether we will take them to heart or let them go– at least until we can gather some more information. - Sharon Salzberg

Welcome to Friday Meditations with Heidi!
Today's meditation offers you a moment to be present in the here and now with the use of a mantra. I consider mantras to be messengers for my mind and body.
The repetitive action of using a mantra can help you drop into the practice of meditation with fewer peripheral distractions.
A mantra can keep you centered with your breath and intention while allowing the message of the mantra to infuse your experience.
I appreciate you taking the time to be here now for YOU.
With Gratitude, Heidi

Today’s practice is called Ho’oponopono, and it is considered an ancient Hawaiian tradition for forgiveness, personal healing, and compassion. ❤️
This meditation uses four phrases that carry such depth and heart. The practice is to repeat the four phrases over and over, as many times as you wish. Traditionally, the phrases are focused on the one doing the meditation (YOU!) as a self-care technique. The four phrases of Ho’oponopono are:
I’m Sorry
Please Forgive Me
I love you
Thank you
Take care, Friends!
