This year the WVUH pharmacy residents and staff got to enjoy the annual Black Bears Baseball game with furry friends! Such a fun Pharmacy Department Social! ⚾️💛💙🐾

The PGY2-Pediatrics residents spent a week as medical staff at Camp Kno-Koma, a summer camp for children ages 7 to 15 with diabetes. They were responsible for blood glucose checks throughout the day and overnight, dosing insulin, and treating highs and lows. They also got to participate in camp activities including tubing down the river, a high ropes course, and swimming at the pool!

Thank you to everyone who joined us along the way, in-person and virtually. The residents would like to take a moment to thank their preceptors, mentors, RPDs, co-workers/peers, and friends and family for supporting them throughout the year.
And with one chapter concluded, we looking forward to welcoming the incoming residents, so stay tuned for another year of fun! 💙💛

Our PGY1 Community Resident, Marisa Barton, and our PGY2 Ambulatory Care Resident, Siyu Liu, had a great time at ASHP Pharmacy Futures! They both presented their research with the support of their RPDs!
Shout out to Abbi, the community RPD, and Krupa, one of our specialty pharmacy technician supervisors, for presenting a pearls!
This was the last conference this 23-24 year class attended, but each one was a blast!

🫀Our PGY2 Cardiology pharmacy resident, Sara Hudson, recently attended the American College of Cardiology (ACC) 2024 Conference in Atlanta, GA. Sara was able to present her research on Anticoagulation After Surgical Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion During Cardiac Surgery, as well as explore the city during here time there!
