The new FDA food labels even include the word "bio-engineered" if you prefer to avoid genetically modified food which now includes some alfalfa, apples, canola, corn, cotton, eggplants, papayas, pineapples, potatoes, salmon, soybeans, squash, sugar beets, and sugarcane.

Fake food examples? Limit deli meats, now listed as a class 1 carcinogen because of nitrosamines and added non-meat sugars, sodium, and sat fat. Read fruit juice labels to avoid fakes--choose 100% fruit juice without additives; real fruit with fiber is still a better choice. Honey is the 3rd most faked food in the world--a spoon of fake honey floats and dissolves as it hits water. Fake blueberries in muffins. Fake cheese. Fake cream pie. The list goes on.

This savory Prune and Ginger Chicken dish is flavorful and comforting, great for a healthy dinner.

Prune and Ginger Chicken

Ingredients:
4 chicken breasts
1 cup prunes, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
1 onion, sliced
2 cups chicken broth
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:
1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic, ginger, and onion, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent.
2. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and sear each side until golden.
3. Add the prunes and chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for 25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
4. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve.

Prune and Walnut Energy Balls

Ingredients:
1 cup prunes
1 cup walnuts
1/2 cup oats
1/4 cup chia seeds
