Exciting Pupdate!!!

We're overjoyed to announce that Beau, now (Bo for short), has found his forever home!

After a challenging year in animal rescue, moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Bo's journey hasn't been easy, being adopted as a puppy and returned as a fully grown dog, but today, we celebrate his new beginning!

Our hearts are full of joy and hope after witnessing Nick's successful meet and greet. His wagging tail and happy demeanor won everyone over, and as we wait in anticipation for the final decision, we can't help but send out positive vibes for all the other animals still searching for their forever homes.

The thought of each one finding a loving family fills us with both hope and gratitude, knowing that every little step like Nick's brings us closer to a world where every foster animal finds the love they deserve.

We are now closed for intake until we can get the dogs we have boarding into foster homes or adopted.

If you are thinking "well I can't foster because I have a vacation scheduled in August" or "we are going to the beach for a couple of long weekends and wouldn't want to take on a foster". We have a solution for that!!!!

When you foster we cover everything including boarding our dogs if you go on vacation. Any time they can get out of a kennel means everything to them. Even if you can only foster for 3 weeks, we will take it. ANYTHING HELPS!!!!!

Surry Animal Rescue is struggling with the staggering number of animals in need of homes. Every day we are forced to turn away people because there are just too many unwanted cats and dogs and not enough foster homes or adoptions.

These 3 sweet little kittens are currently homeless and we really need someone to foster (or adopt!) them. We have a kind donor helping with their vet care, but no place for them to go. We need help!

It is so hard to find homes for dogs that want to be the only pet.
We have Nala Grace and Jake that are boarding at our vets office and really need to be in homes instead.

These dogs are both perfect for an owner or family that only wants 1 fur baby. They will worship their humans and spoil them rotten.

Neither dog is considered "dog aggressive", they can go for walks and be around other dogs in a social setting. They just want to have their humans all to themselves when they are home.

Honey is such a great dog with the biggest heart. She has been boarding for a couple months now and we really need to get her a foster home.

Honey loves other dogs and is a real snuggle bug with her humans. She is a little over a year old and weighs about 43 pounds.

She needs another dog who loves to play and a fenced yard would be so perfect to get her energy out.

Welcome back, Beau!

This resilient pup has returned to us, and we are so grateful to have found him a loving foster family once again. Our incredible volunteers and Beau's dedicated foster family have opened their hearts and homes to him, ensuring he gets the care and love he deserves. Thank you , Jeff, Phillip Boone, Jackson, Sadie, and Benton for opening your hearts and home once again!!!

Adjusting to a new environment can be a journey for rescue dogs like Beau. It typically takes around 3-4 weeks for a dog to start feeling comfortable and begin adjusting to their new surroundings. During this time, they learn to trust, relax, and truly become part of the family.

Beau is already making strides and is so excited to find his forever family! His journey is just beginning, and we can't wait to see him thrive in a loving home.

Thank you to everyone who supports our mission to give these dogs a second chance at happiness. Together, we are making a difference, one wagging tail at a time.

Our foster dog, Nick, has been thriving thanks to the love and attention he receives from this amazing team during each and every visit.

They even laminated and posted Nick's adoption flyer!

It's our commitment to socializing and exposing these pups to the world, and places like Lucky Dog that provide a safe and nurturing environment for them to meet others that make this possible. Their efforts ensure that every dog, even those still waiting for their forever families, gets the chance to experience love, compassion, and the joy of being part of a community.

It's already November, and that means we're counting down to November 28th, also known as Giving Tuesday.

Meet Mookie Otis, a kind, loving dog that wouldn't hurt a fly. Well someone wasn't nice to him and we wish we knew who it was.

Mookie was found by a woman and she reached out on Facebook for help. When we saw his picture we knew we had to step up.

Mookie was being starved and he would have died if she didn't step in. He was anemic and filled with hook worms. He has his belly full with peanut butter sandwiches now but it will take a while for him to start feeling better.

On top of all this Mookie has arhritis, an old injury to his eye and multiple scars all over his body. He is a fighter and his spirits are good.

We are trying to get Mookie to a Sanctuary where he will be cared for forever. His medical bills are already over $1500. If anyone would like to donate to his care we would appreciate it so much.
