Before I enrage everyone with what I’m about to post, I have filed a police report against the apartment manager and the complex where our newest momma was rescued. The officer I spoke with was going to investigate the area after our conversation. I have no idea if anything will come of it, but I felt it was my responsibility to at least let them know the situation.

****This is NOT in Wilson County. Please do not call or message Mt. Juliet police for information. Yes. Someone actually did. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Now that that’s out of the way, what you are looking at in this X-ray is a gunshot wound from a BB gun that was so powerful, it broke Vivian’s femur all the way through. Thankfully, the bone should heal on its own and the BB will be removed when she is spayed. In the next few pictures, you can see the scab from the entry area. I simply can not comprehend why anyone would feel the need to shoot a helpless animal. Especially one who is just trying to care for her babies because someone’s negligence to spay her put her in that position. It’s truly mind boggling.

While I had Vivian and her babies at the vets office, I went ahead and had them do a full set of blood work. I wanted to make sure she wasn’t anemic, or had other concerning issues. She is negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia and all of her labs were perfect. She has actually gained a whole pound since coming into our care on Friday. Her leg only seems to hurt when she’s walking so Dr. Tyler recommended we keep her as still as possible for the next 4-6 weeks and limit any jumping. I promised we would do our best!! The babies were also all examined and given a clean bill of health.

When I returned Vivian to her foster home, I sat with her and cried. Like most of our momma cats, she is unbelievably sweet. It’s obvious how much she loves her babies. She dotes on them constantly and never moves too far away. It breaks my heart that anyone could hate such an amazing creature so much that they would want to want to kill her. Why??

Vivian will NEVER have to worry about being shot at, or poisoned, ever again. I will make absolutely sure of that. She will only know love, compassion, and loyalty for the rest of her life. I pray the police find out who did this and he pays for what he’s done. I know that God will take care of the rest! 🧡

💥F O U R💥

We had 4 amazing adoptions this weekend! It’s such a blessing when the perfect people show up, at just the right time, to give our babies their perfect home! In order of photos:

💥Celeste was adopted by her foster family! Her foster mom fell head over heels for Celeste and couldn’t bear to part with her!

💥Stella, Celeste’s sister, was adopted yesterday by a gentleman with a young dog. He recently lost his cat of 15 years and wanted Stella to help heal his broken heart.

💥Sweet Sammy went to his new home today. He now has a one year old cat brother named Onyx. His new mom thinks Onyx is lonely. Sammy will definitely help with that!

💥Marta, the last of Momma Maria’s babies, was adopted yesterday by a young girl lady that met her at our TSC event last week. It’s the perfect home for Marta, now Maple!

Congratulations to all of our kittens and their new families! Welcome to your happily ever afters little ones! 🧡🧡🧡

I was contacted Wednesday about a momma cat and her 5 babies living outside an apartment complex in Lafayette, Tn. No one knew who she “belonged to” (I use that phrase very loosely) or where she came from, but she was living on the property, doing her best to care for her kittens. After several tenants were seen feeding the momma, the landlord sent word for everyone to stop putting food out for her. There was a stream near the complex where she would go and catch fish, but it was not enough to provide adequate nutrition. After other tenants continued to put food out for her, the landlord said if it happened again, he would put rat poison in the food. That’s when someone reached out to us. Thankfully, I had a foster that was eagerly awaiting a new momma and babies. We were able to rescue them yesterday.

As is always the case, this momma cat is the sweetest thing. She’s 5 pounds of skin and bones. She and the kittens were covered in fleas. Momma has coccidia and hookworms and God knows what else. They have an appointment Monday morning with our veterinarian. She’s eating like there’s no tomorrow, but tends to her babies needs before herself.

We see so many sad situations with these momma’s. They didn’t ask to be thrown out like trash. They didn’t ask to be pregnant or have babies. She belonged to someone at some point because she’s very socialized. Why on earth would a human think it’s ok to feed her rat poison?? I just don’t understand. 😞

What I do know is that she and her babies will never be abandoned again. They will never be hungry, unloved, threatened, or alone. We will make sure they all go to amazing homes with people who will love them forever.

Their foster mom has given them the sweetest names. Momma is Vivian. The babies are as listed:
Gabriel- white with tan spots (male)
Stanley- white with black spots (male)
Henry- orange tabby (male)
Leo- gray (male)
Mae -orange tabby (only female)

Welcome to your new life sweet ones. You are already so loved. 🧡

Sweet Lila is about to be an “only child”. Her brother, Sammy, is being adopted tomorrow, leaving her as the last kitten. We hate when that happens because it’s so hard on the one left behind. Lila is as perfect as they come. She’s 4 months old, completely vetted, sweet, lovable, playful, and beautiful!! Who could say no to all that??? If you’ve been considering a new kitten, but weren’t sure who would be a good fit for your family, look no further!! Lila will do well in any home. She is ready to be the princess of her own castle and be loved the way she deserves!! She can be adopted with an approved application.

Happy “Caturday” from our little trio of brothers from last week’s intake. Their foster mom assigned them names. From top to bottom: Gordon, Frankie, and Jett. Aren’t they just the cutest little nuggets!! Best of all, they are as sweet as they are cute.🥰

Our stunning beauty, Zara, is anxiously awaiting her forever family. Her newest playmate, Marta, will be heading to her forever home Saturday, leaving Zara without her best friend. Zara is as sweet as she is beautiful. She had a rough start with a few tummy issues, but is now 100% healthy!! Zara is fully vetted and can be adopted upon an approved application. Don’t wait on this gorgeous girl. You will be sorry if you do!

3 more babies in their forever homes!!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Hendrix and Elijah were adopted together, yesterday, by a long time supporter and good friend of our rescue. They join two sisters, Hallee and Sissy. The girls aren’t too sure about their new baby brothers, but I’m sure everyone will adjust soon!

Hedy was adopted by the sweetest family that came to see us Saturday at TSC. The adopter is the daughter of the precious woman who adopted Grace and Francine last year. Her grandson fell in love with Hedy and couldn’t wait to get her home!

We still have 18 kittens who are ready, and waiting, for their own forever homes!

08/21/2024

Sylvie and Ruby’s brother, Hendrix, was adopted yesterday so now the girls are patiently waiting for their forever families to find them! They are 4 months old and fully vetted. Please share our post to help the girls wish come true!

08/21/2024

There’s just something about the orange boys that does me in! 🥰🥰🥰 Flynn and Sully are approaching neuter age which means they will soon be ready for a forever home!! These two are as bonded as super glue and absolutely can’t be separated. Like the Doublemint twins slogan from the 1980’s, “Double your pleasure. Double your fun!” 😻😻

08/20/2024

For those who have asked about Rosie, she’s doing amazing! Her litter box habits are 100% perfect. She’s sweet, affectionate, playful and content. What she needs most is a home that will love her forever. Rosie is a year old, fully vetted, and will come with a 2 month supply of her anti anxiety meds. I don’t expect she will need to remain on them for a long period but definitely during the transition to a forever home. This girl is as close to perfect as they come. Please help us find her family by sharing our post!

Our TSC Meet & Greet event today was a huge success! We had so many people stop by for a visit and FIVE very promising adopters!! Thank you so much to our friends at Tractor Supply for allowing us to set up shop multiple times a year. We always meet the nicest people and have yielded some amazing homes for our babies.

Next up for the Mighty Miracles crew, the Tennessee State Fair Cat Show!!! Every year we enter several of our kittens. It’s so much fun (even though I’m always a sore loser 😂) but it’s a great way to get our kittens seen. If any of you will be at the fair tomorrow evening, would love to have you on our cheer squad! If not, cheer us on from home! Hope to see you there!

08/17/2024

Hedy and Meriwether will be watching for you tomorrow at TSC in Lebanon! We will be there from 10:00-2:00! Come meet these two girls, and all the other sweet kittens we will have there.

Photos from Mighty Miracles Kitten Rescue's post 08/16/2024

Make plans to come see us tomorrow, from 10:00-2:00, at the Lebanon Tractor Supply Co. We will have lots of sweet kittens on hand for visits and meet and greets.

All of the kittens in our care are fully vetted at adoption. They range in age from 3 to 5 months old. That’s older than kittens you may find at other shelters or rescues but it’s because our babies have received all of their kitten vaccines, been tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia, have their rabies vaccinations, are spayed/neutered and microchipped. We do all the work for you so that you can focus on loving our baby. We also offer a 30 day health guarantee against routine kitten health issues. We never want an adopter to pay a vet bill just weeks after adoption for something that may be brought on by the stress of moving. We take our responsibility to our kittens and adopters very serious and will always go the distance to insure you get the healthiest kitten possible. Our adoption fee is $125.

Potential adopters are required to submit our online application. Once our team has reviewed the application, called your references, and veterinarian, a determination will be made on approval. At that point, you will be contacted to set up a visit with the kitten, the director, and the foster, typically at their home.

Take advantage of so many of our little cuties being in one place tomorrow! We will be waiting for you! 🧡

Dolly has BIG news! She found her forever home!! Well, she didn’t actually find it. She’s been in it all along but didn’t know it. I received a text earlier today from her foster mom that said, “Dolly lives here now.” Apparently, little miss sour patch managed to cast a spell on her foster family and became best friends with their cat, Wolfie (formerly our own Lionel)! Welcome to your happily ever after sweet Dolly! You will be loved forever!!!! 🧡🧡🧡

08/16/2024

These 3 little boys were found outside a townhome in Hermitage yesterday. The homeowners saw a strange car stop on their road, then quickly drive off, leading them to believe the kittens were dumped. There were no sightings of an adult cat, or any other kittens. One of our fosters only has two older kittens remaining from her spring litter so she quickly said yes to caring for these babies. They are around 5-6 weeks old and appear to be reasonably healthy. Thank you, Ashlee, for being such an amazing foster mommy. These babies are incredibly sweet and very grateful to be safe. Welcome to your new life little ones. You will never be left behind again🧡

🎶 “My baby, he don’t talk sweet
He ain’t got much to say
But he loves me, loves me, loves me
I know that he loves me anyway
And maybe he don’t dress fine
But I don’t really mind…..

Let’s hear it for the boy
Let’s give the boy a hand
Let’s hear it for my baby
You know you gotta understand
Oh, maybe he’s no Romeo
But he’s my lovin’ one-man show
Oh, whoa-oa-oa
Let’s hear it for the boy” 🎵 🎶

Let’s hear it for the boys!!
Elijah, Caleb, Sammy, Hendrix, and Apollo are ready to be the new boy in some lucky families lives! All are fully vetted and can be adopted with an approved application! Let’s get these sweet boys in their forever homes!

UNBELIEVABLE!!! That’s the only word that came to my mind this morning when we were announced as the Main Street Awards 2024 Best Non Profit in Wilson County. I was notified several weeks ago that we were a finalist and the winner would be announced at a special awards ceremony. I was honored to be a finalist but had no expectations of winning. The other two finalists are much larger non profits and their work is known far and wide. You would think, by now, I would realize the power of your support and dedication to our work. I only advertised this particular contest a few times on our page but as usual, that’s all it took for you to step up to the plate and push us to the top. I’m continually humbled by your love and commitment to Mighty Miracles Kitten Rescue. My heart is overflowing with joy at the thought of all of you who cared enough to take time out of your busy days to vote for us. It’s an honor to have this title that came from your devotion. Thank you from all of us. 🧡

I just received the heartbreaking news that one of our babies from our very first litter in 2021 unexpectedly passed away earlier today. Her adopter text me just now because she knew I would want to know. Evelyn, renamed Luna by her adopters, was diagnosed with epilepsy at around 1.5 years old. Thankfully, they were successful at managing it with medication. During routine labs today, Luna was not cooperating for the blood draw so they had to put her under anesthesia. Sadly, she passed away during that time. The same exact thing happened to one of my own babies. It was heartbreaking to hear about this happening again.

Luna’s life was one to be celebrated. She was from the first litter with me as Mighty Miracles. Her momma, Louisa, delivered 5 beautiful babies and took on a 6th that came a few weeks later. Her siblings Ella, Esme, Eleanor, Eliza and Elton were all adopted into amazing homes. Luna went to live with two of the sweetest moms and kitty sister, Cypress. They gave her an amazing life full of love, happiness, and care. In the words of her mom, “Luna was so beautiful, talkative and such a purr box”. Luna will long be remembered for bringing so much joy to their little family. Every life is worth remembering, but especially the lives of those who come through our rescue. Evelyn (Luna) was born in my house and spent the first three months of her life with me. I love every single kitten I rescue, but the ones born into my care leave a deeper mark on my heart.

Thank you, Britney and Kaliyah, for giving Luna 3 amazing years of life and for loving her completely. You are the type of adopters I seek for all of our babies. All of us here at Mighty Miracles are holding you close in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers, as you navigate life without your precious Luna. Rest in peace sweet girl. Give all the ones before you our love.
