Twelve Powers Tuesday - the Power of Understanding. The disciple who represents the power of Understanding is Thomas, and the power center is located in the front forebrain. From the level of our humanity, Understanding is "the ability to comprehend; interpret knowledge, and make cognitive connections based on our senses, thoughts, feelings and beliefs." (from "Power Up Your Life, Accessing the Twelve Powers to Achieve Health, Happiness, Abundance and Inner Peace" by Bill and Cher Holton and Paul Hasselbeck, 2014) If a person's understanding is underdeveloped, there is difficulty in interpreting facts and figures. If understanding is over-developed from the level of ego-centricity, the individual is often perceived as a "know it all." The human level of understanding is also known as Intellectual Understanding. Next week we will explore Spiritual Understanding. In the meanwhile, please share your thoughts about the power of Understanding from either our human nature, divine nature or both! How can we use the power for good, and how can it be used for something that may not be apparently good?
