Had a 30ish y/o female patient just now… on a walker with a wrist brace and scars all over her legs (accident).

Saw “she” paid something according to my emails while she was dilating and before we even finished the exam. I asked staff why did that payment match the patient ahead of her (I monitor all payments as they come through) and why did it get charged to HER credit card and not to his?

Staff member teared up and said she bought the patient ahead of her (a 65 year old, kind man) his glasses!
I started crying.

Yep - we have good people in this world. She doesn’t want him to know until he picks up his glasses soon. Anonymous kindness. 😭 Happy tears!
