protoporphyrin, headache, decreased nerve conduction velocity, metallic taste, loss of appetite,
constipation, poor hemoglobin synthesis, colic, frank anemia, tremors, nephrotoxic effects with
impaired renal excretion of uric acid, neuropathy and encephalopathy. At relatively low levels,
lead can participate in synergistic toxicity with other toxic elements (e.g. cadmium, mercury).

Holidays are tricky.
On one hand, you want to look at it like a cheat day. On another hand, if you are doing an elimination diet, it most likely is not with the only intention of losing weight, or it should not be.
With that in mind, you need to calculate how long you’ve been on the elimination diet before you decide to have a “cheat day “
You see an immune response to inflammatory grains, like gluten and corn, and an immune response to dairy can occur with even a morsel of one of those proteins, and it can take one to two months for your immune system to stop reacting to dairy and up to three months for your immune system to stop reacting to things like gluten
Why does this matter?
If your gut is on fire, your immune system is not working, right.
If you have auto immunity, feeding your body, inflammatory, proteins, perpetuate, that auto immune response, meaning your body is actually being damaged by itself, possibly irrevocably
So think about that aspect before you decide a cheat day is worth it, even on Easter
There are 100 dessert, ideas, sides, and appetizers that are completely AIP
Now, if you have completed your elimination phase, and you want to have foods that you do not plan on, including back into your diet on a normal basis, then use the hand rule to help guide how much you should have
Make sure you know what ingredients will be you so you can decide how many inflammatory ingredients you plan to have and what is really going to be worth it to you
Truthfully, once you have invested and feeling so much better and taking these food out, you will not want to feel the way they make you feel, and once you eat them again all you will taste is fake ingredients and chemicals
The hand method is a way of portion control, but can also be used for special events by using the protein as your palm, fatty sides, or condiments as the sum, and each finger could be a side or a dessert serving
Make sure you plan a macro, balanced breakfast, including at least 25 g of protein, along with healthy fats and unprocessed carbs
 The more imbalanced, your blood sugar is, the hungrier you’re going to be in the more cravings you’re going to have always keep that in mind
Make sure you drink your water quotient for the day before you go to a party or a dinner
If you are going to be eating, inflammatory foods, you can help by taking a binder although that won’t prevent the auto immune response it may help to eliminate the inflammatory protein faster before it gets broken down
Use extreme caution with binders if you’re constipated, as many of them are very constipating
You can make sure you have adequate doses of thiamine and magnesium because sugar consumption depletes both very rapidly, and most people are already very deficient in both
Make sure you take your time eating, sit down, put your fork down in between bites so you can feel when you get full
Do not go to a party or a holiday dinner hungry make sure you have eaten before this way you’ll be less likely to binge or over eat or consume foods that you had originally planned not to eat a.k.a. losing your willpower
Be present with your food choices. Look at them, observe them, put each bite in your mouth and roll it around notice how it feels and taste in your mouth and acknowledge the joy you were experiencing, and the nourishment is bringing you or acknowledge the other.
If you feel like you make mistakes tomorrow and you regret it, dust yourself off maybe do some journaling after you go home spend some time thinking about what you’re doing the rest of the week and don’t just write off your entire week because you feel like you messed up
If you really want to change, and you hire an expert, why are you not listening to them? Why would you take pieces of their advice and sew them together based on Info you gather on google or social media or your friend Sally that is a nurse?!
Piecemealing does not work for your health.
Sometimes you have to break up with your crap supplements you bought from your GNC rep and just because your friend sells products doesn’t make them an expert. 🤦🏼♀️

Summer food vibes 🌞🌞🌞
A fun way to present a summer classic, the melon and feta salad. Red onions, olives, mint and cucumber all bring their flavours. A wonderfully easy honey lemon vinaigrette and sumac finish this composed salad perfectly.
Ingredients
Produce
• 2 cups 1 inch cubed watermelon
• 1/4 Honeydew melon, medium
• 2 Mini or persian cucumbers
• 1 Mint, fresh
• 1/4 Red onion
Condiments
• 1/3 cup Black or kalamata olives
• 3 tbsp Lemon juice, fresh
• 2 tbsp Runny honey
Baking & Spices
• 1 Flakey sea salt and coarse black pepper
• 1 Salt and pepper
• 1/2 tsp Sumac
Oils & Vinegars
• 1/2 cup Olive oil
Dairy
• 1 cup 1 inch cubed feta
Other
• 1/4 Medium canteloupe (1 inch cubed)
• 6 10 radishes (cut into 1 inch cubes or thereabout)
Symptoms are late to the game. By the time you’ve gotten your diagnosis or start having symptoms you can bet every body system is involved and experiencing damage.
The longer you wait to address the actual driving factors and not the symptoms, the higher risk that you won’t be able to undo all of the damage.

Pan-Seared Mediterranean Cod in Tomato Basil Sauce 🐟🍅
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
3 large cloves garlic, finely minced
1 pint cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
1/4 cup vegetable broth
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (divided as 1 tbsp for sauce, 2 tbsp for seasoning)
1/2 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon salt (more to taste)
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper (more to taste)
1 and 1/2 pounds fresh cod, cut into 4 fillets
Additional salt and pepper for seasoning
Directions:
For the sauce: Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add red pepper flakes and garlic, sautéing for 1 minute. Add cherry tomatoes and cook until soft and blistering (9-12 minutes).
Stir in vegetable broth and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Let it simmer gently. Then, add basil, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, zest, salt, sugar, and black pepper. Cook for 2 minutes, then set aside.
For the cod: Heat olive oil in another pan over medium heat. Season cod with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown (about 3 minutes each side).
Pour the tomato basil sauce over the cod, warm up for a minute, then serve.
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 25 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 4 | Calories: 320 per serving
