Busy day making soap and candles

New soap design coming along, I will call this one Napa Sunrise.. The fragrance is Bamboo and Wild Violet.
My inspiration is from the beautiful purple mountain sunrise we had the other day.

Well, after 6 weeks of studying the art of soap making + wins and epic fails, I finally got the courage to try making soap the basic way with Cold Process method, by actually making the soap base mixing all the ingredients 1st before adding the color, layers, swirls and fragrances.
I am happy to reveal that after 2 days of curing , it's become real soap. Still rater soft to continue to cut into bars, but so far, so good!

The soap came out so pretty but it's still too soft to cut the entire loaf. This process takes 48 hrs to set up properly but the cold damp weather is a factor when making soap. I'm pretty happy with the results so far.

My 1st attempt! This is Lavander and Sage scent and its from a professional start up kit I ordered .

I am so spoiled to have Barnhouse Napa Brews right next door to my downtown shop Graphics and Gifts. All of the staff have become close friends to me and I can't imagine not being their neighbor. If you stop in to Barnhouse, they regularly have one of my candles burning near the front counter and I also supply them with Candle Mugs and seasonal candles with collaborative designs.

Soap packaging...1st time using a shrink wrapping machine! Super satisfying !

My new corner of the world, my candle/soap HQ that I'm setting up in the Sunroom. The view is perfect and there's great lightand ventilation. I just need the next cabinets built and move my work table in.

Happy New Year everyone! I've been working on soap making to add to my Candle line for 2024 so this is super fun and exciting to me.

Here is what I made this morning on NYD, Caribbean Teakwood ( blue/white)
and Raspberry Vanilla in the purple tones. They are amazing and made with natural ingredients.
