This one piece sculpture is perfect for interiors and lovers of midcentury Italian pottery design. Signed Italy at the bottom, these were produced in a short runs, with the best versions painted in high detail (as seen here as this is one of the best made). Date from late 40’s early 1950’s. Measures 8” wide, 7” tall, and 6” deep. No chips or cracks, again rare to find in this condition. We just added this spectacular pair of Victorian porcelain Staffordshire Dogs to the shop! These were a mainstay in homes both in the Edwardian and Victorian age. These two pieces are in impeccable condition and have been well cared for for over 100 years!

Details: Staffordshire Early Victorian, classic Staffordshire dogs. Ceramic, free of chips or cracks. This set is an identical pair, although each is hand painted and unique in their own right.

There are no identifying maker marks on these as they were produced in small batches by various small pottery companies consisting of 15-20 employees each.

Measures: L-7 x W-5 x H-11 inches.

Each dog weights nearly 3 lbs. each.

This is a spectacular hand painted 18.5" inch tall porcelain jar is perfect for complementing any living room or library.

Produced by Jeanne Reeds, the famed company's style is derived from, and based on, timeless designs most often taking inspiration from eighteenth and nineteenth century European antiques. This particular jar was very sought after and is quite literally one of the only available for purchase. It is long since a retired design and perfect decor to add ambiance to any room.

The work of artist Hillary Howorth brings an element of class and charm to any interior design. Her works sell out almost instantly, and it’s no wonder why… they fit perfectly into many design spaces! This is one of our favorites entitled “GO SHAWTY, IT'S SHERBET DAY”… 🍨

Via the artist’s bio: “While Hillary has been creating works of art throughout her life, it was not until 2012 when home on bed rest during her first pregnancy that she began painting. Her love for painting ultimately led her to committing to art full time and leaving her job in pediatric dentistry behind.. She has now made a career out of her passion by learning to trust her own inclinations.

Hillary’s collection of original contemporary art has been featured in House Beautiful Magazine and The Scout Guide Nashville. Her work incorporates layers of paint mediums and variations of color that add texture and interest to each piece. Her preference is art expressed through soothing palettes as well as the occasional use of bold color to help convey a sense of happiness and contentment.”

Love this spectacular room and it’s varied decor items, featuring a Louis XV chair is surrounded by Indian miniature paintings. Settings like this in a home can make it feel magical, and bring a sense of comfort as well.
