With a new era of color and designs rushing in and laying siege to the classic clean cut but also “shabby” chic we’ve enjoyed for long, its import to differentiate between what is staying, and what we must leave behind with a touch of fondness.

50 Shades of Grey has well and truly been flogged out of our systems, however not all greys are finished.

Grey is a fabulous neutral color to serve as a mediator in your home, and while the winds of change have carried the crisp cool cleans grey away, warm greys remain a welcome compliment to any classic design scheme.

What is important with any use of color, is understanding how the color was created. Even purchasing a “white” paint from the store is a complex process once you understand the different varieties of color which actually create the many shades of “white”. Quite an irony no? Since white is literally meant to be the absence of color.
