With Clase Azul becoming one of most popular candles, we’ve collected quite a few of the bell tops.
In true, RCC fashion, we decided to make candles out of them.
On a side note, we have some large format champagne bottles that are ready for customization.

After months of anticipation, it’s wild to think that the is half over.
I don’t feel like I’ve really slept, consumed more caffeine than a human should, but we’re still trucking.
The response has been nothing short of amazing, and it’s always good seeing the regular customers.
If you haven’t stopped by, come say hi! We’re in the Estrella building, across from the food court. *

If y’all spent as much time in the real world, talking to real people, as much as I do, you’d realize we’re not as divided as much as the media portrays.
Folks, it’s almost show time for the .
We’re in the same spot as last year, in the front of the Estrella building.
Lastly, send some good energy my way, I’m gonna need it.

I frequently get asked, “Why don’t you just ship your candles?”
To be honest, it’s a pretty fair question. There’s the costs of delivering (gas, food, etc.), and it’s time away from production and family.
However, the math, in my opinion, doesn’t add up, especially when it comes to big deliveries, like today.
Start to finish, it probably takes 20 minutes to package a case of candles. I delivered 30 cases today, which would’ve taken about 10 hours to do. On top of the labor, shipping supplies aren’t cheap.
Time aside, I love connecting with my clients and customers. If I didn’t deliver, I wouldn’t get the opportunity to chop it up with the folks who sell our products. Many of our clients have become friends and getting to see them in the flesh is always great.
As tight as margins are, there’s no worse feeling than finding out products were damaged in transit. Not only do we not get paid, that’s less income for our clients, as well.
Long story short, shipping sucks, and I’d rather just deliver, when possible.

Maybe we should all just log off the internet, talk to each other in real life, and realize we aren’t that much different than one another.
Since I keep getting sent this, so I figured I’d try it myself.
You shatter a bottle, place it in a picture frame, and pour epoxy over the top.
As with most “firsts”, I’ve already learned so much. Fingers crossed it cures properly.

As a young Rogue, I spent every summer at the and have so many memories from those years.
However, by far, my favorite memory was the first day as a vendor. It was 2021, and it was the first fair Post C0vid.
Sure, I was outside, it was hot, and fairly slow, but I couldn’t have been happier.
It was fulfilling a dream and excited to be a part of an event I spent attending.
Here we are, on the verge of year 4, and I’m more excited than ever!

If you leave Paso Robles and head north on US101, you’ll come upon the historic town of San Miguel.
After passing the Mission San Miguel Arcángel, built over 200 years ago, hang a right out of downtown and enter the Pleasant Valley Wine Trail.
One of the first wineries on the PVWT, is Locatelli Vineyards and Winery, . While their whole is fantastic, their rosé is the perfect pairing for Paso’s heat.
If you wander over to their merchandise area, you’ll find candles as diverse as the wine flight. Go soon, because there’s a limited number of certain bottles with certain scents. Barrel Room, Fig Tree, Blood Orange, Fresh Peach, Whiskey, White Sage Lavender, and Warm Coconut are the fragrances Locatelli chose for this batch.

In my best DJ Khaled voice, “another one”.
With the year, finally, ramping up, and the Mid State Fair upon us, it was time to get another pallet of wax.
Thankfully, I just happened to be LA with a trailer, so that helped influence the decision.
Now that I am back to being poor, please send some candles orders through, so our kids can eat.

Whatcha doing this Saturday, June 22nd?
If the answer was, “nothing”, then why not attend the Atascadero Wine Festival?
It starts at 4pm, which is the perfect time to be sipping on some of the best wine and beer the Central Coast, and beyond, has to offer.
We were just attendees last year and absolutely loved it. While we won’t be drinking at this year’s event, we will be there selling our candles and mingling folks.
If you use the QR code to buy your tickets, it could help us win a free table at next year’s event.

Building a business is hard, stressful, and, when done right, incredibly rewarding.
Being a dad is all of that, times a million.
We’re live at the San Diego beer festival at Liberty Station.
The VIP area opens at 12, and GA starts at 1!

For the past month, our so, we’ve been off our game in responding to text, calls, and emails.
Sorry about that.
We’re working on being better.
Despite a steady stream of hate, fear and darkness, there’s an infinite amount of beauty, magic, love, and light.
Take some time this weekend to focus on the good in this world.
If we all started doing that more, the world will start to change.
Its another fabulous evening at the Downtown SLO Farmers Market!
We’re near the corner of Chorro and Higuera, in front of The Ritual.
I’ll be slinging candles from 6-9pm, so come down and say hi.

Don’t worry, I’m just in my hotel room, breaking down a large jug of liquid into smaller vials.
We have our candle making class tomorrow, and part of that class is giving the students the option to pick between four fragrances.
To make it easier, in the long run, we decided to give each student a vial of pre-measured fragrance that they can just pour into the pour pitcher.
10 down, 90 to go.

On Saturday, we’ll be hosting our first candle making class with our friends at .
The class will run through a brief history of Rogue Candle Company, the basics of candle making, and, of course, pouring your own candle. After they cure, the participants will be able to pick them up, most likely the next day.
Interested in holding a class of your own? Message us here, call us at 707-301-5264, or email us at [email protected]
Need a candle? We have you covered.
From 6-9pm, tonight, we’ll be at our normal spot at the .
This Saturday, we’ll be in SF for a beer event.
Next week, maybe we’ll get our act together and be set up at The Barn.
Do we have an unbelievable amount of work to do? Absolutely.
Should we be taking a few days off to make a quick trip. Probably not.
Did we do it anyways? Boy howdy.
Since it’s , which one are you rolling with?
We have a busy few weeks ahead of us.
Next Saturday, 04/20, is the Bay Area Brewfest. It’s being held in the Presidio lawn in SF and will feature 70+ breweries.
The next weekend is the Clayton Art & Wine Festival, which is one of my favorite events of the year.
On May 3rd, we head back to Napa for our first ever candle making class at . Amazingly, the event is sold out, but we’ll be doing more of them in the future.
After that, we’ll be having a soft opening of The Barn.
It’s going to be a jam packed 2024!

Spread the word.
You only get one crack at this life.
Go out and live it.
We’ve been in this industry a long time.
It seems the common phrase is, “we’re saving this bottle for a special occasion.”
Screw that.
Life is too short.
Sometimes, you gotta crack that “special bottle” on a random Tuesday, when the day was s**t, and enjoy it.
A little , for y’all.
The first melter I bought held 6lbs of wax, but that wasn’t cutting it.
Finally, I pulled the trigger and invested in this melter, and my sander(The Divorcinator), without telling my wife. She wasn’t nearly as enthused, as I was.
These purchases really helped grow the business into what it is today. In fact, I still use both, daily, 6 years later.
