Dear Patients and Friends,

After much reflection and consideration, I am writing to inform you of my decision to retire from Ducklo Eyecare, effective June 28, 2024. It has been an incredible journey, and I am deeply grateful for the trust and support you have shown me over the years.

When I bought Ducklo Eyecare in the fall of 1978 from father and daughter optometrists Whitaker and Whitaker, my vision was to create a practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care with a personal touch. Over the years, we have grown into a thriving community, and I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together.

I cherish the relationships I have built with each of you. Being a part of your lives and helping you maintain your vision has been a privilege and a joy. Your trust and confidence have meant the world to me, and I am profoundly thankful for the opportunity to serve you.

I am confident that Ducklo Eyecare will continue to thrive and provide exceptional care under the capable hands of Dr. Solomon and Dr. Ferro. Both doctors are highly skilled, compassionate, and dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of eye care and service. I have full faith in their abilities to continue providing the excellent care you have come to expect.

As I embark on this new chapter, I look forward to spending more time with my family and pursuing personal interests that I have long set aside. While I will miss the daily interactions and challenges that come with my profession, I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.

To celebrate my retirement and to thank all of you for your support, I will be hosting a retirement event on June 28, 2024, between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm at Elliston Place Soda Shop, located at 2105 Elliston Place, Nashville, TN 37203, right across the street from the practice. I would be delighted if you could join me for this special occasion.
