π Exercise studios catering to personalized fitness needs, offering one-on-one and small group personal training, dynamic group exercise classes, and specialized Youth Sports Training.
π The Mind-Body Studio for yoga and other rejuvenating classes, alongside our Reformer Pilates Studio.

π Three pickleball courts with a lounge for post-game relaxation and socializing, featuring flexible space to expand to an additional three courts for events and tournaments.

We are so proud of our new operations at the Longfellow Wellesley Tennis and Health Club, formerly known as BSC Wellesley Club at Babson College.
BSC Wellesley closed in Nov. 2023, but the historic club, with nearly 50 years of legacy, is ready to flourish once again under Longfellow's care!
After a competitive selection process with over 50 interested parties, Babson College selected Longfellow to lease this facility for the next 20 years. We have promptly begun extensive remodeling and repairs to every part of this exceptional health and tennis club, ensuring it will continue to serve its community for generations to come.

π Meet Myke Farricker, Our Dedicated Co-Owner! π
Since 1980, Myke Farricker has been an integral part of Longfellow Health Clubs, working alongside Laury Hammel to create a community-focused fitness haven. Starting from the front desk to becoming a top-certified tennis and squash professional, Myke's journey is a testament to hard work and passion.
As the General Manager, he oversees our three clubs in Wayland and Natick, MA, and is currently working hard to get our new Wellesley club up and running.
Myke is also the heart behind our annual "Ride to Defeat ALS," honoring his brother Pete and raising nearly $3 million for ALS research and patient care. Mykeβs partnership with Laury for 46 years has played a critical role as Longfellow built a community culture that supports staff and members in reaching their full potential.

π Meet Laury Hammel, Our Visionary Founder! π
Laury Hammel, born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, has been a driving force in the world of tennis and fitness since 1972. With a rich family history in tennis, Laury has not only coached numerous nationally-ranked players but also founded the longest-running tennis program for individuals with special needs.
Beyond tennis, Laury is a passionate advocate for sustainable business practices and community engagement. He co-founded the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts and authored "Growing Local Value," inspiring small businesses to make a big impact. When heβs not working (which is rare), you'll likely find Laury playing tennis with his grandchildren.

Meet Hayley Barnes, pickleball instructor extraordinaire! π
Hayley has been teaching pickleball since we launched the Longfellow Pickleball Center β and she's been playing for even longer than that. In fact, she first picked up a paddle 15 years ago after her kids learned the sport in gym class and inspired her to get into the game.

π One of Longfellow's most respected and experienced tennis professionals is Art Coleman, who has been teaching tennis for over 30 years. His son, Drew, recently had a serious skiing accident in Colorado. Thankfully, Drew had successful spinal surgery and is now in rehab with a positive prognosis. Drew is a remarkable young man who grew up at Longfellow, taught here and attended our summer camps.
