Summer time in New Orleans.. Here’s a perfect description of the beauty of this scenery “Walking through the French Quarter, the overhanging balconies soften Louisiana’s heat, their railings woven together like vines frozen in time. Cast iron balconies are at once bulky and intricate, their patterns tangled with flowers, leaves, and other motifs from nature. Wrought iron balconies tend to be simpler, but they make up in artistry what they lack in complexity—shaped by hand, they seem slender and full of movement.”
Because black and white is always in. Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop — built between 1722 and 1732 by Nicolas Touze, is reputed to be the oldest structure used as a bar in the United States.

Terrance Osborne, a 41 year old native New Orleanian, grew up in the heart of the culturally rich city of New Orleans. Being inspired by his diverse and colorful social surroundings, Osborne always held an undercurrent interest in art, largely fueled by his mother and his older brother. Facinated by color, Osborne worked with whatever materials he could get his hands on. Finally, in 1991, under the guidance of artist Richard Thomas, he was able to paint with the passion and expression that he had been so avid about.
Osborne attended the prestigious New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (N.O.C.C.A.) while in high school and later graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from Xavier University in New Orleans. For the following five years he taught at Alice Harte in the public school system. After Hurricane Katrina Osborne decided to dedicate his time completely to his art. His work has recently become a national recognized item. Over the past few years he has been featured in a slew of public media. In 2004 Osborne was granted the honorary “Forty Under Forty Award” for his teaching and artistic contributions to the city of New Orleans. In 2006 Osborne was honored by New Orleans Magazine as one of the “Fifty People to Watch” for 06′.
In 2007 his Official Jazz & Heritage Festival Poster quickly became one of the most sought after posters of the year. In 2008 Osborne partnered with Nike to design a poster and the first New Orleans Air Force 1 tennis shoe. His association with Nike lead to a relationship with the NBA Hornets of which Osborne designed the first official Hornets poster. Be it art connoisseur or causal collector, Terrance Osborne’s art continues to be highly sought after.
Another original painting by the late Stanley Fontaine titled “ Nola Stroll” is available in original oil on canvas, canvas giclee, and watercolor prints.

“ I feel that all my experiences in life have added richness, understanding, and attitude to the whole of my work. I have never “studied under” another artist, which, I think, frees me to paint like myself. My subjects are usually Southern in nature because that's where I live. I find it is best to paint what you know.”

Phillip Sage is a master printmaker and artist whose work has been sought after by galleries and collectors of fine art from around the world for the last four decades.
Born in Manchester, NH, he became an entrepreneur at the age of 8. His formal education includes a BA in Economics and Business Administration from St. Anselm’s College as well as a BFA from Cooper Union in Graphic Design. At Cooper Union he studied under his mentor, Charles Klabunde, as well as photography with Michael A. Vaccaro.
He completed his military obligation by becoming an officer in the US Coast Guard stationed in New Orleans. During this time he came to know and love the beauty of southern living and its gracious people. In 1971 he began his career as a printmaker and painter. Southern Louisiana has been his home and artistic inspiration throughout his prominent career.
Mr. Sage works exclusively with copper plates using an antique English press. His limited edition prints are printed on the finest paper with the effort done entirely by hand in the tradition of master intaglio printmakers. His artwork richly portrays the traditions of the South and the history of New Orleans. His etchings, when viewed by native and tourist alike invoke a feeling of romantic nostalgia.
His extraordinary talent and determination has recently brought him a Peoples Health Champion’s Award as an individual over the age of 65 who has made a notable achievement in art conservation, specifically, removing mold from fine art etchings printed on even the most fragile types of paper.
While not riding an Arabian horse or playing polo, Mr. Sage remains active in the art world. He donates his artwork for many charitable causes and participates in group exhibitions and solo-shows thus enabling him to meet his collectors. He is represented by numerous galleries in the South, continues his work in conservation and occasionally takes commissions for paintings in oil or watercolor.
