When we opened in October, 2007, this painting by Mexican artist Bernardo Roman Palau reflected our ambition to call attention to sourcing and celebrate the magnificent interconnectedness our company represented. Yes, it’s just ice cream, but it comes from a living animal and the human hands that cultivate each precious ingredient that goes into it. As we celebrate our closing day at 186 Underhill Ave, and look toward a new year continuing to offer our products through retailers and restaurants, we hold this same global awareness close. Please take a moment to visit our blog and share how Blue Marble has impacted your life these last 16 years. It means the world to us. LINK IN BIO. Thank you, Happy Holidays, and we will see you in the New Year!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

In 2008, we began a partnership with to create Inzozi Nziza, an ice cream shop in their hometown of Butare, Rwanda. Less than a year old ourselves, we were a Brooklyn startup with few resources, but, honoring our mission To Make The World A Sweeter Place, we leveraged the goodwill of our community to raise funds for this profoundly life-affirming initiative. Many years later, the group is thriving, and their founder, visionary Odile Gakire Katese, remains a good friend. When they heard was getting married, they insisted on coming to play. This seemed like an impossible pipe dream, but somehow... it happened. We all worked incredibly hard to make it possible, with special shout of to - what a surprise for our guests at the end of the ceremony, many of whom have contributed critical funds over the years to make the Rwanda shop a reality... It was a great honor to have them present, and we will be forever grateful for this gift. The group will be returning in September - please DM us if you are interested in booking them for a wedding or other performance, or a school workshop, and we will connect you. Thank you for wedding footage and photos, and for the OG images. @keyelementsevents@wood_fire_food @silverarrowband @sylvanmotorlodge@hudsonvalleyletterpress@littlecatlodge
