Today is earth day! We love incorporating more sustainable practices into our everyday lives. These are our best tips for making a difference while taking care of your smile:
- Turn the water off while you're brushing! Only run the water when you're rinsing your brush.
- Try bamboo toothbrushes. It's easier to biodegrade than plastic toothbrushes.
-Try floss made from silk! It's a more renewable than floss made from synthetic materials.
Today we we have some shocking information to share; the person who invented cotton candy was a DENTIST! Promise not to tell anyone, okay? William Morrison was a dentist who debuted his new treat at the St. Louis World's Fair in 1904. He called it 'Fairy Floss!'
Eggs are a great source of Vitamin D, which helps your body absorb calcium, which helps strengthens tooth enamel! Happy Easter weekend!
Fact: Only 1/3 of your tooth is visible! The rest is hidden under your gums. That is why twice yearly checkups are so important. If your kiddos are overdue, give us a call!
Do you have a favorite tree? Today is Arbor Day so we made a tree snack from celery, peanut butter, pretzels, and grapes!
Q: When should babies 👶🏻 start brushing their teeth?
A: As soon as they have one! You can even start before they come in to form great habits and to massage their gums. 😌
This cute book is full of clever STEAM inspired traps that the tooth fairy encounters when she collects teeth! We think it's a great addition to your bookshelf. 🥰

If you run out of dental floss, try using spaghetti. If it does't fit between your teeth, give angel hair a try. Have space between your teeth? Grab a piece of fettuccini. You'll know you've flossed long enough when the pasta is ready to eat.
Happy April Fool's Day!
Try this fun way to enjoy a peanut butter sandwich! We rolled out our bread with a rolling pin, used an upside down glass to cut out a circle, added some fresh strawberries instead of jelly, and voila..... Peanut Butter Tacos.
A smile, a song, two minutes, twice a day. https://bit.ly/3CQ71vf

Today is World Water Day! It is an observance set by the United Nations to remind us of the need to conserve and protect our water resources. A great habit to form is to turn off the faucet while you brush your teeth.
Parents! We have a theory. You can get your kids to eat more vegetables when there's a holiday theme. These aren't spinach eggs in a bell pepper ring. They're Leprechaun Paddies in a gold ring! Try this nutrient packed rainbow breakfast out on them and report back.....

Don't forget that toothbrushes should be changed a minimum of every three months and after someone has been sick. They make a great stocking stuffer, too!
Hot vanilla! We're fairly certain we just created everyone's new favorite cold weather drink. It's so delicious and has zero added sugar! We're not kidding when we say that it's right up there with a mug of sugary hot chocolate. We warmed two cups of milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla, and two dashes of cinnamon. Top with whipped cream and sip with someone who makes you smile.
