For those who don't know, Robert Simonson is an author and journalist who is just as passionate about hot dogs as we are. That said, we knew a hot dog collaboration just needed to happen.

The Simonson Dog, aka the "Eastern Seadog," brings together some of the best hot dog traditions from the East Coast – from the meat sauce, mustard, and onion reminiscent of New Jersey's famed 'Texas Weiner' style to the sizzling slices of Taylor ham paying homage to Baltimore's fried bologna-wrapped dogs. A hint of celery seed in the chili also nods to Rhode Island's unique hot dog styles. There are layers upon layers of flavors, and they're only here for the month of June, so they aren't to be missed.

Dog of the Month 🚨 🌭

This month’s dog and bevie are inspired by and .weckman , our favorite twins and rockstar employees at Crif Dogs. If you’ve ever chatted with these two, you’ve probably heard some tales about their folks’ farm or how they’re basically hot dog royalty from Kentucky. They’re humble and hard working, and it’s their birthday this month so only right to bring a bit of their home up here, for us all to enjoy.

This month’s features are straight up nostalgic for them. The Chili Dog #2 is inspired by The Cheese Coney, a dog that has a cult following in their area of the country. And that Bourbon Slush? It’s got roots back in the ‘70s, courtesy of their fam friend Marge (👋). She used to own an auto shop and that has since morphed into one of the restaurants that their family runs today.

You know the deal, available for the month of March only- don’t blink and miss it. And don’t forget to wish the twins a very happy birthday 🎂
