MUMMY TO BEE 🐝
This set up was personal.

One of the hardest parts of moving country or long distance in general is missing all those special moments of your Loved ones you left behind. You don’t get to experience all their milestone moments and they don’t get to be there for all of yours. And so when the stars align and you make it for that life moment of theirs, it makes it so special.

After missing two of my best friend’s entire pregnancies I was so happy that I got to be here for my friend who is pregnant now! We’ve been best friends since the first day of High School so how could I not do a baby shower for her?!

How do you think she reacted? Did I do good?

Let me tell you a secret…

When we come together in a group to enjoy food, it is more than ingredients put together for the sake of eating.

Food is the love language of most our immigrant parents and my Mother was no exception. No guest is allowed to leave the house without their stomach’s full no matter how quick the visit! It’s a sign of love and hospitality. It brings people together and the centrepiece to all social gatherings.

My dad’s been in the restaurant industry all my life and he always taught me the importance of food at any event. Don’t skimp on the food he says. Even when it came to my wedding his only concern was the menu, the flavors and the presentation of all the food we were serving. It’s what makes an event memorable and It’s what everyone goes away talking about!

It’s no wonder why I’ve paid so much special attention to food all my life. It’s the secret recipe to all great events. So no matter how big or small the event give your food the attention it deserves.

It’s so unreal how behind I am in posting events atm that the entire summer has passed by and I’m still reminiscing on one of my favourite events to date almost 3 months later!

From the sweetest customer to the small details we worked on together, this Bridal Shower was a dream to work on. This was for a repeat customer of mine who has always supported me so positively and entrusted me with all her occasions. I’m blessed to be trusted with such special events and meet the warmest of people in this job. ☺️

EID MUBARAK 💕

Sending so much love to each and every one of you 💕 What’s your favourite part of Eid day?

Mine is enjoying Eid Breakfast with my family in the morning, before the chaos of the rest of the day begins. Alhamdulillah for facetime and technology for keeping me connected on these special occasions over the years. My family are my biggest cheerleaders and I’ve watched them cheer me on as they’ve seen me settling here, hosting events, learning new skills they never got to benefit from and see me grow my business. I’ve really missed Eid Breakfast at home ever since moving away and so I made sure to make this one extra special by giving them the full FoodStylist treatment, so they know that in the end, everything I’ve done was all for them.

🇵🇸 🇵🇸VIRTUAL RAFFLE 🇵🇸🇵🇸

The past month we’ve seen an immense amount of exposure on the ethnic cleansing and displacement of our p@le$tinè brothers and sisters. I’d say the most exposure it’s had in a very long time. And while I’ve recently found myself more busy with events and orders to continue to share more on the situation, my thoughts are always on what is going on in Pal e$tin€ and ways we can help.

It is not anti- $emitic nor exclusively pro-muslim to want an end to the oppression and displacement of the P@lestini@n people. It is simply human to advocate for the basic human rights of a people who have been stripped away of their freedom and right to land.

I’m holding a Virtual Raffle to fundraise for who provide on the ground medical and humanitarian support to the Children of Gaza who make up over 1 million of the population.

PRIZE:
🇵🇸 1 Food Stylist picnic grazing platter for 8 people

🇵🇸 1 Beautiful Framed Art piece “Be, and it is” donated by who is one of the most generous people I know when it comes to charity.

🇵🇸 $100 Nominal gift voucher donated by who did not hesitate to speak up and support the movement with their own fundraising. They provide such good representation for our Muslim community with their platform and I’m grateful for it.

🇵🇸 $25 gift voucher- A P@lestinian owned brand who offer a beautiful selection of products to highlight and raise awareness of their culture. They also offer valuable resources and are committed to the P@lestini@n cause.

We’re looking at a prize worth more than $300!

How to enter:
- $10 per ticket, 5 for $40 (this is all for charity)
- fill in the raffle entry form (link in bio)
- make payment via venmo (only way to collect money with no fees)
- Entrants must be able to pick up platter from Jamaica, Queens, NY between 27-30 June.
- Raffle Draw will be 19th June and winner announced on our story. @ New York, New York

Our customer ordered these for her Wedding favors with a custom message inside for her guests 💕

Until next year iA...

We’re officially done with Ramadan orders and near the end of Ramadan itself!

A reflection of the month- This month is close to my heart as I’m sure it is with many of my Muslim brothers and sisters.
I had so many ideas that I wanted to implement to celebrate our holy month that I didn’t know if I would be able to fit them all in, but God willing they manifested just as I imagined.

It was so fun expanding my Ramadan menu this year to offer a range of different treats and gifts. It allowed me a creative outlet to honor Ramadan and in turn also raise money to donate to and .fatimaa in the month of giving 💕

I hope all your sincere duas were answered this month, that it bought you inner peace, growth, happiness and more. While most of us are blessed with all the privileges of food, a home and basic rights please spare a dua in the last nights of Ramadan and after for our Brothers and Sisters in Palestine, who are suffering one of the most severe forms of Oppression and Ethnic cleansing going on in modern times.

🤲🏽 Ya Allah, help the people of Palestine. Ease their pain and suffering. Help them get justice and show mercy upon them. Ameen
