A CASUAL HELL'S KITCHEN STAPLE SINCE 2007
Nizza (Italian for Nice, France) is a city influenced by the foods of Italian Riviera and Liguria, a region where the warm Mediterranean air, and mineral rich soil, creates the perfect conditions for growing olives, vegetables, herbs. The coastal town focuses on what is fresh, local, and delicious and serves as the inspiration for the the tastes and dishes at our 9th Avenue restaurant.
The concept of our restaurant is to focus on a menu of small and medium plates that are big on flavor, accessible and beautiful to look at. To enter into Nizza is to experience our interpretation of what Nizza tastes, smells and looks like. Our palette of blond woods and mellow colors set the backdrop for our cozy 55 seat restaurant, with 20 outdoor seats in the warmer months. Our white marble top bar serves as a perfect vessel to serve our extensive wines by the glass and cocktail list, as well hand pulled and poured espresso.
As for your culinary adventure, your journey down the East bank of the Riviera might go something like this: Burrata ( served with grilled peaches, chili - honey, baby mustard greens, Socca with sage, onion and pecorino (Socca is a French version of the North Italian Farinata, made of chickpea flour and olive oil. After being formed into a flat cake and baked in an oven, the socca is seasoned generously and eaten with the fingers while hot, also a Gluten-Free favorite) The strongest of pasta cravings will be allayed by a dish of Pansoti (fresh pasta filled with herbs and greens and served in a walnut sauce). Nizza has to offer something for everyone, even our gluten- free guests, and definitely has something for every day of the week
Cater to all of your senses and step out of the hectic theater district for an evening on the Italian Riveria, located right on it’s on Ninth Avenue in Manhattan.
