Open Letter to Grubhub:
Thank you for holding our restaurant’s funds for 10 weeks. How thoughtful of you, during this time when your company is our main source of income to mess up our switch to direct deposit, even though you got a voided check. Thank you for calling us to resolve the issue and leaving us on hold for over an hour and then asking us why we called. Thank you for telling us that after finally getting someone on the line, that payment will be re-issued in 9-10 weeks. So thoughtful!
We appreciate it when you emailed us this morning to tell us that you will be charging our customers a service fee to order from us. So amazing how after 15 years of ’partnership, ’ we were ignored last year for 6 months when our menu wouldn't load on your app causing incalculable damage to our business. Shame on our team for solving that issue for you!
Such admiration for your company that charged us when customers found us on your site and called the fake number you provided. How dare those customers to try to save us your fees by calling us directly!!
Most importantly though, thank you for pushing an independent restaurant to the brink by holding funds, less your 20% or so fees, that rightfully belong to them.
