After a triumphant three-year hiatus, "The Juneteenth Symphony" returns with a soul-stirring celebration of Juneteenth, honoring the resilience and artistry of women of color in the performing arts.
Prepare to be captivated by a mesmerizing fusion of music and theater, spotlighting the vibrant contributions of black women artists. Led by Alexia Velazquez, the talented poc-ensemble will bring to life musical orchestrations by the renowned songwriting collective, Chrysalis, featuring performances by Alexia herself, alongside Isaiah Alston and Sydney Williams.
In addition to the stellar lineup, "The Juneteenth Symphony" will shine a spotlight on local Black-owned and women-owned businesses, reaffirming the commitment to supporting BIPOC entrepreneurs.

Happy Monday! We are delighted to share the news that MasterVoices friend Nathan Lane, and newly appointed MasterVoices Board member André Bishop will be honored by Drama Desk with special accolades.
Lane will receive the Harold S. Prince Award, a lifetime achievement award, and Bishop will receive the inaugural William Wolf Award
named for the late, longtime president of the Drama Desk, acknowledges “achievement, high standards, and innovation, including generosity and ‘giving back’ to the entertainment community."
