Shout out to our Serial Snacker of the week: “I’m a serial snacker, so having a few cups in the fridge makes my life so much easier. True life: Vagner got annoyed with me during this shoot because I kept taking breaks to eat it.” 💚🍏💚

A message from Keisha: As frustrated and scary as this coronavirus crisis is, I am grateful for a mindset shift that is happening for me - what I’m calling . Like how I had been ordering take out even when I have a fully stocked fridge, or the “must-have” items in my closet that it turns out aren’t must-have at all when push comes to shove 😳. This crisis has made me reflect on how I have been taking important things for granted, assuming they will always be available, and making many trivial things, important. Would love to hear what shifts are happening for you.

A message from Keisha:
Like everyone I’m adjusting to my new normal - working much longer hours, trying to shepherd my team through ambiguity and dealing with the waves of anxiety that keep coming up for me. I created this list - (it’s now taped on my fridge - because stress = unhealthy eating for me) to remind me that I am capable of regaining my emotional balance when fear inevitably arises. I would love to hear what’s working for you?

This week's gratitude and affirmation message from Keisha:

I am grateful for friends who have mastered boundaries. Recently a friend said she wasn’t available to help out on a project. At first it stung. But when I got over my ego, I realized that she was teaching me what healthy boundaries look like. I came into 2020 asking the universe to give me the strength to erect my own boundaries. But when provided with a master class on the subject, I was about to reject it.

Affirmation: I am the only one capable of or responsible for creating healthy boundaries in my life. I am capable of offering help on terms that don’t deplete me.

I am grateful for shortcuts that no longer work. Last year I neglected my health entirely and came into January planning to quick-fix my way to my “hey baby weight.” I quickly learned that at 42 that’s no longer an option and instead have embarked upon a real inside out approach to giving my body what it really needs to be healthy. It’s a longer, tougher journey - but the rewards are lasting and real.

Affirmation: I am capable of choosing me for real. Doctors appointments, therapy appointments are non-negotiable on my schedule this year.

and we are here for it. Read how below:

23 days into 2020 and I’m so grateful for “The 5 Minute Journal “ - gifted to me this Christmas by a dear friend. Each morning it guides me to articulate the 3 things I’m grateful for and to declare an affirmation that will support me in creating an amazing day. This practice is filling me up and making me lighter all at the same time. Each week I’ll share some of my affirmations and hope you will share some of yours.

Grateful for: “the opportunity that
every new day gives me to honor my
commitments” - Keisha
