Designed w/ community in mind. A place to eat, relax and have conversations. Inspired by a restaurant near my Berlin apt .official. It wasn’t cheap to have built but it was the first thing that was removed and destroyed illegally. For 3yrs straight, I was told “it’s the ugliest thing ever and it’s ruining the neighborhood”.

Hi Skål family,
I’m sorry for the very late thank you and I’m extremely touched by all the beautiful emails and DM’s I’ve received. I decided to take a month-ISH off and not think about Skål and it’s pending future to keep my mental sanity. 2021 and the first half of this year was difficult for me, personally. So, I decided to pause my brunch service This past March out of necessity to focus on my mental health. I spent June and July taking advantage of new opportunities that presented themselves due to the creation of Skål.

Without my pursuits into the unknown, Skål would’ve never been born. I had no prior experience in the food industry, but I knew what tasted good and I wanted a space where everyone was treated equally. Without my community, I wouldn’t have traveled down some of the paths I’ve taken. I tried my very hardest to make this restaurant a place where people could feel at home and now, that’s all at risk.

My landlord and his children has made it a mission to attack Skål and my character and currently destroyed/stolen over 175k worth of my property. I’m ready to fight for what rightfully belongs to me. My Scandinavian furniture is timeless and priceless, my handmade plates and cups priceless , my handmade outdoors bleachers priceless.

I’m now in a place where I’m ready to move on and transform this one location of familiarity and comfort into a broader concept.

Will there be food? Yes. 
Will there be events? Yes. 
Will everyone be welcome? Yes.

Beyond that, I’m still figuring out what this new Skål looks like. I’m hopeful and optimistic for a day (very soon) where all of us can re-connect once again. All help and assistance is welcome.

My landlord has thrown away my mail which numerous neighbors have found in the trash or the floor and given to me. On Monday morning his scummy ass lawyer and friends filed for an emergency hearing I was never made aware of and now this.

For the past two years, I’ve been in intense legal battles with my landlord. Last week after getting help from State and local reps my case was put on hold as I’m working out of the country.

I someone can assist me with this while I’m out of the country will be greatly appreciated. I’m 6hrs ahead but I’m available. DM me.
