For a wine bar we’re designing in The Ansonia on the Upper West Side, demolition has revealed interior columns within our space that used to be an exterior entrance! We’re thrilled to see these cleaned up and acting as a very special anchor to the front of the the space.

Photos of a kitchen renovation we recently completed. We worked with the client’s fantastic William Morris wallpaper choice to open and unify the space between dining and living rooms. The cabinets got a fresh but classic deep shaker door detail to complement the wallpaper.

We enjoyed an extremely inspired and inspiring tour of the new home for yesterday… amazing to see such a transformation in such a short time Courageous embrace of new ideas and broadening vision of what a cultural institution can be and how it can be effectively reflected in a building.

Nice Memorial Day weekend with our friends from in the Catskills!! Tasty and friendly in the extreme, as always. And such a beautiful location Thank you and great to see you!

Had a magical last dinner at , getting the royal treatment in celebration of our son’s 8th birthday (Otto’s turning otto, as Dave Sclarow pointed out!).

Seeing the outpouring of love for
has had me reflecting on what the place meant to me. It was a really important project in the very early years of my firm and has had special meaning for me all along - it continues to be a benchmark and goal today. There’s an energy in the air and a spirit of gumption, commitment and craft.

When was being built, it felt like were all finding the expression of our voices in the world - Dave, Anna, Adam and the crew wouldn’t back down from the biggest vision they could muster. They lead the way with guts and heart. And so, as they wind down and close this chapter, I’m moved by Dave’s thought that we shouldn’t be sad it’s over, but happy that it ever happened at all. And I’m thinking, on my eight year old’s birthday and the bittersweet celebration of a decade of Pizza Moto, about why we do what we do… how there’s so much possibility when you lead with love. That’s what I feel when I think about this restaurant and the people who made it and what it’s meant to so many people.

So I say THANK YOU, for being in our lives and showing us such a great way of being in the world. I feel so proud to have played a part. We’ll miss you but the dream lives on. ❤️💔👏🏼

Love when clients share breakfast snacks at a meeting and it becomes a preview of kitchen materials in action!
