🇲🇽 Operating for more than seven decades, the Sánchez distillery is located in Candelaria Yegolé, a small town located in the extreme south-east of the Tlacolula Valley at the foot of the mountain chain of the Sierra Sur de Oaxaca.

The craft of mezcal is passed down from generation to generation, and in this wild and imposing environment, where more than ten species of agave grow, the experienced mezcal masters know that “each maguey has its time” to mature and cut.

This experience gives an understanding and respect toward the earth, water, and fire, and helps weave the fabric of community and keep the tradition of mezcal alive.
