Tell Every Amazing Lady® was honored to be joined by Golda Arthur for our series “On The T.E.A.L.® Couch”, located at our T.E.A.L.® Community Center, the only ovarian cancer community center of its kind in the United States. We sat with Golda to bring forth the conversation of barriers that impact women’s health, with special consideration to ovarian cancer. T.E.A.L.® offers women’s health and wellness services for women and all who have been affected by this disease. We promote public awareness and education of the signs, symptoms and risk factors of ovarian cancer, provide support to those impacted by the disease, and raise funds for research in order to find a screening test and a cure.
We thank Golda Arthur from Overlooked Podcast for helping to nurture the roots for a small start to a significant conversation. This topic is important for all to educate themselves on in order to take necessary preventative measures for the fight against ovarian cancer, and any other women’s health issues they may face throughout their health journey.

This year on World Ovarian Cancer Day, T.E.A.L.® was joined by the New York City Council Women’s Caucus NYC Women's Caucus on the steps of New York City Hall in a powerful representation of New York City’s commitment to continue to battle this deadly, overlooked, and underfunded women’s health disease. The New York City Council Women’s Caucus, side by side and dressed in the color teal, illuminated the signs and symptoms of this often overlooked disease, while empowering women with knowledge and rallying support for early detection and intervention.
T.E.A.L.® invites the public to also stand in solidarity on May 8th by engaging in any myriad of activities aimed at fostering awareness, support, and hope. Ovarian cancer, often termed a subtle killer, is the most lethal of gynecologic cancers with no accurate screening test. Its insidious nature lies in the subtlety of its symptoms—bloating, urinary frequency, changes in bowel habits, persistent pain—often camouflaging its presence until advanced stages.
Annually, over 300,000 women worldwide receive the daunting diagnosis, with 200,000 succumbing to its effects. On this pivotal day, T.E.A.L.® wishes to illuminate the shadows shrouding this disease, striving to disseminate crucial knowledge of its signs and symptoms, with the goal of early detection and treatment. Together, let us illuminate the path towards awareness, empowerment, and ultimately, a screening test and a cure on this World Ovarian Cancer Day. Learn More at TellEveryAmazingLady.org/facts
