Mike Higgins has been one of my favorite people since the day we met. The infectiousness of his positivity and joy is one that we have been lucky to have behind the bar at the Spring Lounge for so many years. He is kind and generous, always looking out for friends, family, and strangers alike. The way he makes me laugh hysterically over the dumbest s**t is something I will miss for the rest of my days working at this bar. He is one of the best damn bartenders I have ever met, and it has been a true honor to have him on my team, and to work alongside him for as long as I have.

I cried the day he told me he was leaving the lounge, and I’ll probably shed a few more tears tomorrow. Please come down tomorrow morning for Mike’s farewell shift. He’ll be on from 8am-2pm.

Mike, you’re a goddamn legend. Thank you. 💜

After 16 hilarious years, the legendary and beloved Mike Higgins is retiring from his post. Come celebrate his sweet sixteen on his very last shift, next Wednesday October 16th!

The game will be on with sound, and as always we’ll have some fun complimentary snacks prepared by one of our favorite locals, Joey Clams. I hear there are wings, rice balls, and empanadas on the menu.
