Volunteer to help with the IA NYC Food Drive!
One of the great things about being a union member is that we look out for one another. We know we've all been feeling the effects of the industry strikes — but while the AMPTP tries to starve workers out, the Young Workers and Membership Outreach Committees of various IATSE Locals in NYC have organized a food drive for our fellow IATSE members.
We are asking volunteers for a commitment of at least two hours on one of the following days:
Friday, October 13th, 11am-3pm:
(PREPARATION DAY – receive the food delivery, prep the space, pack bags)
Sunday October 15th, 9am-5pm:
(DAY OF FOOD DRIVE – finish any packing, distribute bags, run bags out to cars, clean up)
LOCATION:
American Federation of Musicians Local 802
322 W 48th St #1308

At simultaneous in-person parties in New York and Atlanta, we’ll be teaching how to use our TWO new arbor press machines to repair broken powder products, condense your kit, and lighten the weight you carry to work. Then…you can try it yourself!
