We had an amazing time at our "Younger You LHi Kids Day" in our London office last Friday! Hosted by Myles Jackson and Kim Pasteau from our PACE (Parent & Carer Employees) community!

The event was a beautiful opportunity for some of our LHi parents and their children to create unforgettable memories. We explored their "Future You" dreams, made some awesome handprint art, and even added a brand-new pair of custom Converse to our collection... Talk about leaving a legacy!

SIX years at LHi for Sebastian Gotzler! 🦀

We caught up with our Head of Munich, Dan Perkins who said "Whilst writing this, I can’t believe how fast time flies…

I remember Sebi’s first day in the business and had a feeling from day one that he was going to be an incredible addition to the office. Fast forward six years, and my feeling was nothing short of an understatement.

He has been on a huge adventure – taking on the responsibility of building up our pharma/biotech business unit into the powerhouse that it is today. He has collaborated with some of the most exciting life science firms in the world, took the chance to continue his career into leadership, and participated in numerous high-achiever incentive trips, lunch clubs, MC club - all whilst cementing his place as LHi Munich’s top permanent performer ever.

However, as of the beginning of 2024, Sebi’s career took another adventurous route. He put his hand up to take on the role of Munich’s first-ever ‘Head of Client Development & Commercial Strategy D-A-CH,’ where he has flourished even more and played one of the most important roles in helping Munich break several records across H1.

Sebi’s impact on everyone within Munich across every stage of his journey here has been exceptional. I think I speak on behalf of everyone across LHi by saying a huge thanks for being a great friend and colleague to all of us!
We are all super excited to see you grow even further in your new role and impact more and more people both internally and externally!"

Next month, our Head of Munich, Dan Perkins, will take on his toughest and biggest endurance challenge to date in support of Kleine Helden, our Munich office charity!

The event is a bucket-list race for many, and it's clear to see why. The race takes competitors through the Alps, including ascents of Monte Rosa and stunning views of the Matterhorn. This 12+ hour endurance event will push him to his limits, both mentally and physically.

This challenge is to raise money for Kleine Helden, a charity that supports chronically ill and disabled children and their families by providing a space to connect, share, and find strength.

14 YEARS for one of our OG's... Michael Georgiou! 🚤

CEO, Jim Denning said "Last month we celebrated one of LHi’s all-time great journeys, that of Michael Georgiou, who celebrates his 14th work anniversary at LHi.

Having started with LHi as a rookie, Mike’s adventure saw him start in London when the business was less than 20 heads and 14 years later become a part of our C-Suite having had a huge hand in shaping our business into a global staffing firm of over 380 people. In those first years at LHi Mike quickly created a legend of someone who was hugely talented, had a real zest for life, and matched that talent with an even greater work ethic (a deadly combination!).

When Tom Glanfield decided to take LHi to the US, Mike put his hand up (alongside the crack squad of Mike Bott, Benjamin Richardson, and Gerry Penford) to move to the US and plant our flag in the soil. Mike quickly took his game to the next level and started breaking all the records we had becoming the global top performer and latterly the US MD where he grew the US business past 150 heads and to four locations.

Mike is now an integral player in shaping LHi’s future and in his role as CSO has a remit of ensuring that our commercial strategy continues to improve and intensify so that we can scale with confidence and that our “younger you” ethos will be successful.

For all the achievements that litter Mike’s LHi adventure (and there are 100’s) the thing that really sets Mike apart, and for me puts him in the rarefied air of one of LHi’s all-time greats, is that he is a genuinely GREAT human, has a great heart and always wants to go out of his way to help others. He is someone that without doubt, you would want beside you when the chips are down and equally across the table from you when there is a celebration to be had!

Thank you for everything you do for us MG, here’s to 14 years and many more for an all-time LHi Great!"

Designability is an incredible organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of children with disabilities through innovative design and technology. From custom mobility aids to interactive toys that foster development, they ensure kids can live their best, most independent lives.

We recently celebrated FIVE years at LHi for our Europe Client Development & Commercial Strategy Director, Scott Cook 🎉

We caught up with CEO, Jim Denning who said "We are celebrating a great milestone: 5 years at LHi for Scott Cook!

Scott joined the business from the UK and moved to LA with his family back in 2019, where he took on the challenge of growing the SciPro business. Scott quickly excelled in this endeavor, and it wasn’t long before he took the opportunity to take on the reins of LHi LA. What an impact he has had! LHi LA is now an absolute powerhouse for the Group, boasting all 4 brands and seeing over 200% growth in both headcount and revenue in the past 3 years. I know the LA office will have a lot more to say about how Scott has achieved this, but for me, the standout legacy Scott has cemented in LA is that it’s an office with an identity of both high performance and high care, driven in equal measure. This, for me, is the “LA Stardust.”

Scott’s newest adventure has seen him and his family return to the UK, where he will take on a role in “Client Development & Commercial Strategy.” Here, he will be QB’ing LHi’s strategy to create deeper commercial relationships so we can hire with the “Younger You” ethos, knowing that these individuals will get a great start to life at LHi.

A huge congratulations to Steve Earl, our Associate Director and Head of Berlin, on celebrating EIGHT years with us! 🎇

We spoke with our CEO, Jim Denning, who shared “We celebrate the milestone of someone with a great LHi story of adventure and progression: Steve Earl's 8-year anniversary!

Steve joined LHi eight years ago as a rookie full of spirit and hunger to take over the world. Eight years later, he is well on his way to doing just that. In those eight years, Steve has reached the heights of being a top performer in the London office and experienced the emotional and commercial roller coaster that so many in recruitment do. However, it was in those tough moments that Steve demonstrated levels of tenacity and resilience that very few do, which took him to the next level. At the top of his game in London, Steve achieved accolade after accolade, was inducted into the Millionaires and Centurion Club, traveled the world on every incentive trip, and then started knocking on the door for his next adventure.

That adventure came in the form of opening up LHi’s Berlin office. This meant leaving behind a great contract book and a market where he was incredibly well-positioned to succeed, and instead starting something new and pretty much living outside of his comfort zone. In true Steve style, he put that tenacity and resilience to great use, and now fast forward to today, our Berlin office is thriving.

Steve has developed hugely as a leader but even more so as a person, and I couldn’t be more proud and thankful for everything he is doing for the group.

What an amazing eight years, Steve! Thank you, and here’s to two more for the 10-year gift of time!"

EIGHT years at LHi for Design & Brand Manager, Lewis Cornwall🎨

We spoke to Director & Head of Marketing, Kim Pasteau who said "Eight years ago a truly great human joined team marketing! When I think back to July 2016, LHi Group as it is today didn't even exist. Lewis has been with me and the business through all our major milestones and, importantly, the biggest most impactful marketing projects. His journey has been one of my favourites to witness and thankfully, be a part of. From just supporting me on the LHi rebrand in 2016 to today, becoming our in-house designer, owning and managing all six of our recruitment brands, and recently, redesigning ALL of our websites in under six months (solo), I can't quite believe how much he has achieved. What a legacy!

Proud to have had the opportunity to work with you for so long Lewis, you have truly made a difference to me and to the business. Thank you for your commitment to the LHi family and our vision. I can't wait to see what adventures you will go on in your next chapter at LHi." 💫

Recently Nick took the brave decision to switch markets and focus on change & technology contract recruitment within the London Insurance Market, which he has already hit the ground running with and is fast becoming a market expert in. Looking forward to seeing how far Nick can go in the next few years!”

CEO, Jim Denning said "We recently celebrated a very special anniversary, 12 years ago, the one and only Anne-Marie walked through the doors of the then Lawrence Harvey and has simply not looked back!

During those 12 years, AMB has taken both herself and LHi on an incredible journey. That journey has seen AMB grow multiple first-class functions across the business, travel the world 10 times over, and rise to the level of C-Suite at LHi.

AMB has been integral in pretty much everything we have done over these past 12 years, has architected our growth from 30 people to 380, and I believe is the absolute poster child for what it means to be a “good human” at LHi. Everyone (past and present) that has walked through the doors of LHi has an AMB story where she has gone the extra mile, ensured we are looked after, happy and always seeing an opportunity for growth, and I know I speak for everyone across the business when I say thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for LHi, I know this term is probably overused but it’s safe to say that you truly are an absolute MVP of LHi."

We caught up with Berlin Office Leader, Steve Earl who said “Katie has come on such a journey with LHi; joining our London contracts team as an entry-level consultant, mastering the MS Dynamics market, and then choosing to take the next big step in her LHi journey by challenging herself with a new opportunity moving to Berlin to lead the SAP team in 2023.

Katie will be the first to tell you that there have been many ups and downs but what is unquestionable is her relentless effort and persistence to keep on improving which has resulted in her now being a Divisional Manager, growing the biggest contract team in the Berlin office. With four more years until her 10th anniversary, I’ve no doubt she’ll continue challenging herself and striving for that next big step, whilst always being a 'great human'... Super proud!”
