We are deeply troubled by the recent experience of housing discrimination shared by our esteemed alumnus, Wendell Pierce. Despite his notable achievements and substantial contributions to the arts, Wendell faced unacceptable racism in his search for a home in Harlem.
Wendell's courage in speaking out against this injustice exemplifies the ongoing need for resistance against racism and bigotry. His experience is a stark reminder of the persistent struggles that must be confronted and eradicated.
We stand with Wendell and reaffirm our commitment to fighting against discrimination in all its forms. Together, we can create a more just and equitable society.
