Keep up the good work Sister!! Posted • Let me tell you all how being appointed to serve on Be4All changed the trajectory of my career….
The Belonging and Excellence for All committee is a joint partnership between SMART, SMACNA, and ITI to cultivate culture change in the Sheet Metal industry. Over the past two years we have passed ten initiatives through leadership that fosters belonging and challenges biases in our workplaces.
Together as a group we have organized bias and belonging trainings, interactive and educational online learning journey sessions, designed an inclusive celebratory calendar, a pedal to the metal campaign, a rapid response protocol, be4all bathroom kits, and so much more. Please check out the smart union website for more information on how to get involved and learn more about this committee.
Through Be4All I have found friendship and mentorship from Sheet Metal professionals from all different backgrounds, regions, and levels in their career. We encourage and support each others ideas on the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Together we engage those willing to learn and grow with us. I look forward to our 2024 agenda and being able to continue this important work.
