Members of the Kappa Xi Lambda Chapter joined other NPHC Greeks in Brooklyn, NY last weekend to support the NYC Department of Homeless Services. Together, they assembled packages to distribute to the unhoused population in our city. We are proud of our brothers for continuing the tradition of giving back to the underserved community.
Seasons Greetings! Wishing you a happy and healthy holiday season!
As the festive season approaches, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.’s Kappa Xi Lambda Chapter is taking a proactive stance against impaired driving through the Cannon-Dozier Project. This program honors the lives of Brothers Adrian Cannon and Julius Dozier, tragically lost in a drunk driving accident. By raising awareness and educating communities about the dangers of impaired driving, the Cannon-Dozier Project strives to prevent similar tragedies and save lives.
By actively participating in the Cannon-Dozier Project and making informed choices, we can all contribute to a safer holiday season and beyond. Let’s remember Brothers Cannon and Dozier and honor their memory by driving responsibly and advocating for awareness against impaired driving.
Spread the word, share the information, and join the movement. Together, we can make a difference.
First of all, servants of all…

Giving Tuesday is one day away! To celebrate, we want to recognize the recipients of the scholarships made available by donations from our community. Shoutout to Elijah Moore, an Alpha G.E.N.T.S. alumnus and current freshman at SUNY Buffalo. Here are a few words from Elijah about how the Alpha G.E.N.T.S. has impacted his life:
“Interacting with the other participants and my mentor James has helped me to realize that I have to take the initiative to make my life better. I am a little quiet and introverted but realized that if I want more opportunities, then I have to step out of my comfort zone and “put myself out there”. That is why I joined another sports team and sacrificed my Saturdays for training with the TAP program so that I could help teach one day after school each week—instead of “taking it easy” during my last semester of high school.”
Let’s continue to support our youth by offering more scholarships to those in need. Click the link to donate: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=BXSQGRCKSY3VJ
As we approach Giving Tuesday, we want to recognize the recipients of the scholarships made available by donations from our community. Shoutout to Zion Singleton, an Alpha G.E.N.T.S. alumnus and current freshman at Cornell University. Here are a few words from Zion about how the scholarship helped him pursue his goals:
“Receiving the Alpha GENTS Excellence Award scholarship would greatly impact my academic career, goals and life. I plan to attend Cornell University in the fall to study engineering, a challenging field of study. With the aid of the Alpha GENTS excellence scholarship, I would be able to completely focus on my studies. The Alpha GENTS Excellence Award scholarship would allow me to devote all my time and energy to higher-level research in dimensional graphics, game analysis design, entertainment technology, game animation, and applications of virtual reality. I would also be able to focus on building my network in hopes of securing a position at a game company, preferably an independent one. Alpha GENTS Excellence Award scholarship would relieve the post-college pressure of having to repay loans. This would give me more freedom to choose a company that closely aligns with my vision and optimally position me to fulfill my life goal of creating an amazing, multi-player, online game.”
Let’s continue to support our youth by offering more scholarships to those in need. Click the link to donate. https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=BXSQGRCKSY3VJ

Black Man, there is power in conversation. There’s a wealth of power in coming together as brothers and sharing with one another the things that are transpiring in our lives. Usually, “Group Therapy” may be seen as something taboo among Black Males, but we can really benefit from a conversation amongst one another. Not to talk in the superficial but to delve into the deep.
