Big Apple Orange - the Syracuse University Alumni Club of NYC Syracuse University Alumni

This week, some of our alumni helped to put hygiene bags together for the New York Edge.

We packed 100 toiletry kits last night, which will be distributed to the following three schools: 267K, 427X and 109Q. These schools are Community Schools, meaning they provide services to support the wider community around students such as food pantries, ESL classes etc. The kits will be distributed to New York Edge students in temporary housing.

The mission of New York Edge is to help bridge the opportunity gap among students in underinvested communities by providing programs designed to improve academic performance, health and wellness, self-confidence, and leadership skills for success in life.

Thank you to Rachael Gazdick, the CEO and Syracuse Alum, for help putting this together!

Enjoy an evening with alumni, industry professionals and friends! Light fare will be served, and all guests over 21 will receive one complimentary drink ticket.
