This summer we are kicking things off with “Ballet & Modern Dance: A Concise History” by Jack Anderson. 👩‍🏫 This book covers the history and development of Ballet and Modern dance through the last 5 centuries. Rachel and AGDEP Director, Ana Nery Fragoso, recommend this book for any students who are studying for the NYS Dance CST (Content Speciality Test)!

National Honor Society for Dance Arts Helps Teachers Advocate for Dance Education in Schools and Studios Everywhere - Dance Teacher Dance Teacher is designed exclusively for dance educators with advice and inspiration for your teaching practice and your studio business.

It is with a heavy heart that we share that former AGDEP student, Kaslyn Harris-Jordan, passed away this past week. Please join us in honoring Kaslyn’s legacy as a dance educator, artist, and activist. 🕊

It’s almost that time… HUNTER DANCE IS GOING ON BREAK! Both the Main Dance Dept. office and AGDEP office will be closed from 12/23 through 1/6. 😴

We sadly have to share the news that Ballet Hispánico founder Tina Ramirez passed away this week. Ms. Ramirez served as ’s Artistic Director from 1970 to 2009. 🕊

WELCOME CELEBRATION RE-CAP TIME! 🎉 on Monday, August 22nd we celebrated the Fall 2022 cohort of MA students! Seeing our Hunter community come together to support our incoming students was AMAZING 🥳❤️
