Big thank you to Chair for moving HB 531 forward today! It received a unanimous vote in Judicial Proceedings & now moves to the full senate. The bill would end parole fees in Maryland once and for all. And thank you Senator for sponsoring the crossfile!

Our leaders met this week with DOC Commissioner Victoria Kuhn at Bethany Baptist Church in Newark for a spirited conversation about how to guarantee those leaving prison are better equipped to reenter social, economic, and public life. We were encouraged by the Commissioner's positive response to our ideas.
