It’s time to change the narrative on sexual assault and start a new dialogue. The #metoo movement was an immense success in bringing to light sexual assault and misconduct in ways the world had never thought would have been possible. It showed us an ugly side of the entertainment industry that exposed how women have long been mistreated. The time has come to realize that sexual assault and misconduct has not only happened to women, but it has happened to men and boys as well. From Entertainment and Corporate to College, High School, and sadly even within the Church community, men have experience sexual assault #meALSO moments that will forever change their lives. The #meASLO movement is designed to provide a safe space for Men who have experience sexual assault to come forward and tell their stories. By telling their stories, they become a hero in the #meALSO movement. It takes a heroic effort to overcome the fears, stigmas and emasculation associated with sexual assault amongst males. Now it’s our turn...it happens to us too. Share your #meALSO story using the hashtag #meALSO and become a hero of the movement.
