They will screen as part of the Intimate Portraits collection on Friday, August 16 at 12:45pm at The Miracle Theatre in Washington D.C, and online between August 18-25.

We’re excited to share our East Harlem Pantry neighbor, Positive Exposure has been accepted in DC Black Film Festival!
This short film captures Judith, a Brooklyn poet, as she confronts cancer, food insecurity, and eviction. Despite facing these challenges, Judith's unwavering spirit and poetry inspire hope and connection within her community. Through her story, the film celebrates resilience, the pursuit of legacy, and the enduring power of human connection amidst life's uncertainties.

Congratulations!!!! to Marta Colon who won the People's Choice Award at this year's Voice! 20 Art Show in Oneonta! Voice!20, a state wide juried art show is sponsored and run by Arc Otsego and held at the Martin Mullen Gallery in SUNY Oneonta. To win the People's Choice Award, those in attendance at the opening reception are asked to vote for their favorite piece of art exhibited in the show. In addition to a beautiful frameable certificate, Marta will be receiving a check for $50.00.

Dr. James E. George is a highly accomplished doctor and lawyer who experienced a brain and spinal cord injury after a fall in his home, resulting in a coma and quadriplegia. He spent six months in rehab, where he discovered great joy and healing in creating art.
