A stroll through Charleston on the last day of the Eastern Orthopedic Association’s 54th annual convention, led Ellen and I to the historic Pineapple Fountain!

During the EOA’s final dinner in honor of the founders, president Amar Ranawat hired Josh Beckerman. He is an incredible mentalist that amazed us with his talents!

Our guest speaker at the EOA’s 54th convention was Aron Ralston. His inspirational story of survival after performing a self-amputation during a hiking accident, brought the audience to tears. Depicted is Aron with his autobiography,“ Between a Rock and a Hard Place” that he signed for Ellen.

Here we are with our patient GA who presented to us with Right knee pain for several years, difficulty ambulating, going up and walking down stairs, walking with a limp, including pain at night and at rest. X-Rays showed tricompartmental degenerative arthrosis. GA expressed his eagerness to get his knee taken care of to get back to his active life style and resume his adventures at MSG/KNICKS GAMES. With no hesitation we scheduled GA to have a Right Mako TKR.. image 1 Pre-Op and Post-Op X-rays, Image 2 GA back to see us at 6 weeks with a smile and pain free Image 3 GA back at 3 months with the same smile.. GA we are happy to see you doing well and getting ready to enjoy yourself at MSG doing what you love routing for the NY Knicks.. -ish

The best way to end the week is with a fresh catch and the amazing company of my son, Andrew!

Here is Margaret, a 66 year old with a decade-long history of replacements of both her right and left hip, 6 weeks post-op from her right knee replacement surgery;
“This is the best thing I’ve ever done”, she says. “ I can garden now, go on long walks, and enjoy being outside!”
