This makeover was special for several reasons.

Alan and I met 9 years ago through his work as a area rep at Henry Schein Dental, the largest Dental Supply company. During that time, he used his resources to help me find the perfect location for my office, and won my business. This collaboration allowed us to get to know each other well, and we became close friends. We were neighbors for five years, and he’s attended many of my family functions.

Another reason this makeover is special is that Alan, having been the #1 salesman at Henry Schein Dental multiple years, knows thousands of dentists and could have chosen anyone to do his veneers. Despite his industry knowledge and access to many top-notch professionals, he chose to work with us, which is a tremendous compliment.

Although this 20-tooth veneer case took the standard two visits, we took our time and filmed some video content during the process for educational and entertainment purposes (to be released soon).

I really enjoyed the unique intricate details of this case as well as the interactions I had with our patient Nick prior to starting.

Nick was referred to us by a general dentist professor who wanted him to be treated by someone with experience that is detail oriented.

Having been to a number of consults prior to us, Nick had a lot of great questions about every aspect of the procedure before scheduling to start.

In this case we decided to not use the implant that he came in with, but rather create a veneer bridge, in this 18-unit veneer case.

It always make me happy to see how four little pieces of Porcelain Veneers can make a patient's smile go from Good to Great.

These veneers require the most minimal amount of tooth preparation to resurface the front layer of of the teeth and take just two visits at the office.

This case had some interesting nuances. If you look at the patient's right side (left side of the screen), you'll see a crossbite (where the bottom teeth come out more than the top). This is actually happening in the front and opposite side a little bit too.
⠀
In this case we decided to forego the option of doing orthodontics completely. Using the patient's existing stable bite and tooth position, we jumped the crossbite using Porcelain Veneers to achieve an ideal bite.

A case like this is very possible to be done in just two visits. However, in this one it took three, because we preplanned a bit of a slower pace with shorter visits per the patient's request.

The after picture is a three year post-op, and everything remains stable and beautiful.
