JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 4 years Baking experience
Ability to work well in a busy environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (8+ hours a day)
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Produce certain line of baked goods: May include cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies and any other production items
Ensure exceptional product by following recipes, understanding prep procedures, and maintaining raw materials quality
Make sure our baked goods are baked and decorated according to our product standards
Keep up with pace of store and customer flow
Rotate product in freezer/walk-in using FIFO method
Understand proper use of all equipment: ovens, mixers, sheeters, scales, walk-in, and freezer
Maintain a clean production area
Clean and sanitize all equipment, work areas, containers and utensils
Be quick, accurate and organized
Respect your co-workers’ space and time
Prepare special orders to ensure customer specifications are met
Make sure customers receive exceptional customer service at all times
Ensure operations are in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
Guide FOH staff on product questions
Perform other duties as directed by a manager

Our story
The idea for Mia's Brooklyn Bakery came about when two families were talking about their love for desserts over dinner. They wanted a place in the neighborhood where they could enjoy perfected versions of their favorite classics, so in 2015, they decided to open a bakery that did just that. To continue the idea of traditions, we decided to use family recipes to create our delicious delights. You’ll find freshly baked pies and pastries, cakes and cake pops, anything and everything you need to sweeten up your day. Our treats are authentic and from the heart, and we can’t wait to share that with you.
