“I grew up in Sharpsburg, GA, and I graduated from the University of West Georgia with a major in finance. Growing up I always enjoyed being active and outside, but I wasn’t involved in any organized sports. In 2020, I started running, but I quickly got bored. Having heard about CrossFit for many years, I walked into a local affiliate, and I was hooked. After my first workout, I was so sore and wasn’t sure I would be able to drive home. The constant variety within CrossFit kept it very engaging. 4 years in, and I still am challenged to keep improving as an athlete.

In December of 2023, I was able to earn my CrossFIt Level 1 certificate, and I am so blessed to be able to help other athletes in their health and fitness journey. I have seen first hand how the changes that are done in the gym can help transform people’s lives. I love to help others achieve their goals. Outside of the gym, I enjoy being active, doing anything at a lake, and spending time with friends and family and my church. I also enjoy being able to find new ways to challenge myself through triathlons or other competitions and races.”

Let’s take a moment to highlight our Athlete of the Month for May, Lee Cagle. Lee is incredibly strong, it almost seams effortless, pulling a deadlift over 500 pounds and a back squat close to that mark, along with impressive numbers in other lifts. Lee is always ready to lend a hand with any project and is a friend to everyone. You can find him at the 5:45 PM class. This recognition is well deserved. 🔥
