Opened up three rooms into one big space, with the kitchen at the center. Now the formal living room and family room flow together, just like the client wanted β€οΈ
Loving how this bathroom remodel turned out!
We opened up the space by getting rid of the doors between the vanity and the toilet/shower area, and it made such a difference. The oak cabinets add that perfect touch of warmth, and I'm obsessed with the bold blue quartzite countertops! π
What do you think?
Dining space I designed for a lovely client. π
The unique dining table with its bold, sculptural legs is the centerpiece, adding a modern touch to the room. Oh, and I love the mix of textures and that pop of blue from the couch! π
If you like colors in interiors but are afraid of feeling overwhelmed, just make sure to balance them with neutrals!
One of the projects finished this year!
Loving the mix of comfy chairs and cool design details. The pops of color and unique touches really make the space feel inviting. β€οΈ

Bathroom details β¨οΈ
I'm planning a photoshoot in July but meanwhile, I wanted to share a little sneak peak!
Okay, this bathroom is going through a big transformation! From dark and outdated to modern, much lighter and in a neutral color scheme. Client loved the idea of slim shaker wood cabinets and quartzite countertop with blue tones π
β¨Dining room redesign! This room is fully redesigned, we're keeping only the dining table that clients own.
The clients wanted their entire house to be mainly in light and neutral colors, and they agreed to add some black elements for contrast. At the first meeting, I asked if they were open to introducing some color as well, and they agreed to let color appear in small accents (such as pillows).
I knew from the beginning that dark orange would liven up this interior perfectly, and I suggested that I would incorporate accessories in this color.
Well, maybe the chairs aren't just a small color accent, but I knew I didn't want to rely on only neutral colors here and orange would liven up the room wonderfully. Thankfully, the clients loved the idea! π
In addition, I surprised them with the statement wall design - grid mirror wall. The mirrors are perfectly located - being opposite the entrance from the living room to the dining room, they reflect the living room and thus optically enlarge the interior. In addition, in the living room, opposite the wall with mirrors there is a large arched window (and for this window I selected a black trim)!
Thanks to this, in the reflection we can see not only the living room, but also what is outside the house.
The pendant lamp above the table refers to the existing wall lamps in the living room, and the wall art on the right to the rug I chose in the living room.
PS. Can you see this cute little wall niche in the mirror's reflection? It's common in Spanish houses and it's a perfect place for a little cactus or succulent! π₯°
Recent bedroom design!
Clients were looking for a neutral design and textures.
There are color accents in other rooms, but in the bedroom I decided only on a muted, neutral color scheme.
A warmer, neutral color scheme is ideal for a bedroom, which is meant to be a place of relaxation and rest.
Black accents add contrast and connect to other elements already in place in the interior as well as those being designed.
When a client says that she likes both scandinavian and mid-century modern... and I prepared 2 options inspired by each style! The decision has already been made, but I'm curious which one you prefer? π
This was a guest house design that, in addition to its guest function, also serves as the client's home office and storage space.
You can see here a part of the whole room design - the home office.
- Since the client regularly has video calls, it was important for me to make sure the background was visually pleasing.
- The request was to be able to work at the desk while sitting as well as standing. Hence the choice of a simple adjustable height desk.
- The client already had a chair and also some art works that found their place in the redesigned space.
- You can see a lamp on the sideboard. It's one of a few lamps here. I love when the room has a few different light sources so we can adjust the light to our needs and mood.
Such a mock-ups you can see here, are part of my design presentation for full redesign or remodel projects. But the best is not shown here - realistic 3D renderings! π€©
I've been showing bits and pieces of this project in various separate posts, but I realized I didn't show it all in one post!
Modern, quite minimalist master bathroom design.
Clean lines, neutral colors.
And a lot of storage space!
Do you like neutral color pallete in interiors? π
Or maybe you're a team color? π
Yesterday I posted a reel on my Instagram (Do you follow me? www.instagram.com/marbdesign) about this shower storage idea.
If you have a pony wall, you can consider having a niche in this wall!
This is a good choice for all those who do not like to have cosmetics in a visible place and have no problem if the niche is a little lower.
Or you can put your favorite shampoo and shower gel on top of the pony wall and hide the rest in the niche!
First post in 2023 so I wish you all happy New Year! π₯³π₯³
2 weeks ago I shared a little sneak peek of this master bathroom - today I wanted to show you more!
Modern, clean lines, neutral color pallete β€
Happy Holidays! β¨ I wish you to find a moment to rest during this time β€
Antique mirror glass can work perfectly in the interior serving a decorative function, but at the same time creating the illusion of more space!
Inspiration of the day: green in bathroom!
If you plan a bathroom remodel and want to add some color, here are a few examples how to add some green.
What do you think about it? Do you like some colors in bathrooms?

Sneak peek at the latest master bathroom design! Modern, neutral, warm and cozy - all in one.
Hello! Can you believe it's already December?! For me, the last quarter of the year always flies by really fast.
Anyway, I wanted to share with you a living room design in a glam/elegant/classic vibe! I have already published this project in several other places, and each time I received many words of admiration and a lot of questions about the design.
The design is kept in a neutral color scheme but with the addition of color accents. With the addition of color, the whole thing becomes more interesting, but at the same time remains calm and neutral!
On both side of the fireplaces are antique glass mirrors, which not only serve a decorative function, but also optically add depth to the room and make it feel more spacious!

Hello! How's everyone after Thanksgiving? I'm starting the week by planning out the upcoming month and I noticed that I have some projects that I haven't shared here on Facebook!
(I'm more active on Instagram, so follow me there: www.instagram.com/marbdesign).
Here's the kitchen design inspired by mid-century modern style. Instead of flat panel cabinets, I chose skinny shaker which are getting more and more popular and desired by clients (which doesn't surprise me at all!). They're modern but more detailed than flat cabinets. I can admit that this is definitely not a temporary trend - with the combination of modern and classic, they are sure to be in demand for a very long time!

Yesterday I was at interior design market so I want to share with you a little inspiration!
I like to use wallpapers in my projects. Sometimes to add more character by using patterns or colors. However, I also like wallpaper like this one in this recent bedroom project - even though it doesn't have a bold pattern or various colors, it gives the wall some texture. This way, you get more soft, neutral design, but one that has definitely more character than if you painted the wall a single (in this case, dark gray) color.

I really like those blue tiles mixed with wood π
Hello! In my first post I would like to introduce myself. My name is Magda, Iβm an interior designer and owner of MARB Design.
After moving to Los Angeles, I decided to close my design studio in Poland (my home country) and the natural next step was to open a new studio in LA - that' s how MARB Design was created.
I pay attention to my surroundings and it is important to me that the interiors I am in are aesthetically pleasing. I think it's especially important that the interiors of our homes are comfortable and beautiful - after all, this is our private space, our place of rest. My mission is to create sophisticated, yet functional and livable spaces that are reflection of our clients β their taste, desires and needs.
In MARB Design we specialize in residential design. Our services are primarily available in Los Angeles and the Southern California area. However, we also work nationwide - we are able to travel and we also have an experience working remotely.
