Bench Press Record: Jesse also excelled in the bench press category, claiming the top spot in the bench-only division with an impressive 185-kilogram bench press. Notably, he set a new state record in this category, underlining his exceptional strength and proficiency in this lift.

On Day 3 of the IPL North American Championships, Total Fitness had five competitors, including newcomers Levi Robbins and Shawn Fauntleroy, as well as veterans Ken Horner, Anthony Turner, and CJ Savage. Here's a recap of their impressive achievements:

Ken Horner: Ken Horner, a seasoned competitor, secured first place in the Masters division. He not only won in his division but also set a remarkable World record in the bench press within the same division, demonstrating his strength and expertise.

CJ Savage: CJ Savage had a successful day, earning 2nd place in the Masters full power division and an outstanding 1st place in the deadlift-only division. He also achieved a State deadlift record, showcasing his prowess in this specific lift.

Anthony Turner: Anthony Turner had a phenomenal performance by winning 1st place in both the Masters division and the Deadlift-only division. Furthermore, he established new State records for both the Squat and Deadlift, underscoring his exceptional strength and skill in these lifts.

Day 2 at the IPL North American Championships in Niagara Falls featured a group of remarkable first-time international competitors, Jackson Robbins, Joshua Smith, and Brandon Stuck, who each had their own outstanding achievements.
Brandon Stuck, a newcomer to the international stage, had an impressive performance. He not only clinched the title in his age and weight class but also set a state record in the squat discipline. His strength and dedication were on full display, earning him well-deserved recognition.
Jackson Robbins, another first-time competitor, put on a strong showing as well. He achieved a state record in the squat, showcasing his remarkable strength and technique. One of the most thrilling moments of his day came during the deadlift competition, where he demonstrated incredible determination and fought hard to reach a personal best of 452 pounds, leaving a lasting impression on the spectators.
Joshua Smith, who had only recently begun competitive lifting in February of the same year, displayed remarkable growth in the sport. His dedication and hard work paid off as he shattered his goal by successfully lifting 500 pounds in the deadlift category. Joshua's achievement marked a significant milestone in his powerlifting journey and served as an inspiration to others in the competition.

Andorra Martinez, a newcomer to the national meet, made her presence felt with a series of personal best performances. One of the most memorable highlights of her day was an impressive 300 plus-pound deadlift, showcasing her incredible strength and determination. This achievement marked a significant milestone in her powerlifting journey, earning her recognition and applause from the crowd.

Keli Hamman, on the other hand, was no stranger to the national stage, as this was her 5th national meet. We had a fantastic meet on Saturday the 24th in Norfolk at the Shark City Classic! We had thirteen lifters, five of which competed in their first meet ever. We took home 11 first place, 1 second place and one 3rd place medal. We also added 33 new USPA Virginia State records.
