I (Melanie) have been wanting to update my photo for the Disability Pride club and here is the photo.

Hi my name is Melanie McDaniel I thought I would share one of my speeches/ poems with you guys.
Life is precious so try to make the most of every moment . With everything I have gone through one thing I am sure about is that most of the issues I have gone through in the past I could have died from and I just don’t know when my time will come to say goodbye I mean we never know when the time will come that we will have to say goodbye . We meet people and we lose people and though it may hurt when we lose the ones we love we have to keep moving forward we can’t dwell on how much it hurts or we just might miss what’s happening in the present and the present is the most important so don’t dwell on the past just focus on the present.

Hi DPC! I'm Katie, and I am the VP for the Disability Pride Club. I am in my second semester as a psychology major at Bucks. I am returning to college after taking a few years off from school to recover from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and I am having such a great experience here! In my free time, I enjoy making abstract paintings, leading bible study discussion groups through my church, and spending time outside hiking. Tyler State Park, right next to the Newtown Campus, is my favorite place to explore. I also love baking and sharing the sweet treats I make with everyone! I love DPC because it is a place where I feel seen, accepted, and supported by my peers. It makes me appreciate the support I have from those at the college, and it gives me the confidence that I can get my degree!

I’ll be leading a discussion on accessibility today at 3 pm at the biweekly meeting, so come join us. We’d love to have you!

Hello! My name is Blue. I’m 18 and a music major at Bucks with a focus on voice. My hobbies include singing, songwriting, playing instruments, getting creative with makeup, and doing deep dives on obscure topics! Some of my favorites are theoretical physics, astrology, linguistics, and philosophy. I’ve been disabled and chronically ill (physically and mentally) since I was 9 years old and have had 4 surgeries, including getting my head cut open twice (which did leave me with some cognitive problems lol)! I enjoy going to the Disability Pride Club because it’s a great community with great people and we understand one another! 💙

Today a few of our club members put up a table with candy during the Halloween "Spooktacular" event in the Gallagher Room! We had one new student sign up today for our club, which is really awesome! Thanks to everyone who came out to meet us, and show support for Disability Pride!
