Our Vision: A place where writing and collaborative arts flourish:

We wish to cultivate an inviting space for writers to discover and deepen their individual voices while honoring tradition and encouraging experimentation through interdisciplinary and hybrid creativity. We believe poetry, writing, and the arts are at the heart of realizing and strengthening connections within communities and celebrating imagination. We welcome writers at all stages of artistic development to bring individual works and collaborations to life.

We are working to sponsor readings, discussions, performances, and a variety of cultural, civic, and craft workshops featuring community-based and nationally recognized writers and artists. We will house a library of poetry, fiction, drama, and creative non-fiction where our community can come together to enjoy the long-standing tradition of literary arts in Bucks County and the region.

Yes, we still subscribe to ARTstor!

Over the summer, the enormous database of images, ARTstor, completed it's migration to the database JSTOR. In order to house ARTstor's huge collection of paintings, sculpture, photography, portraits, needlework, artifacts, and ephemera, users need only select the database JSTOR from the library's list of databases! Once inside, the ARTstor selection will appear. Once selected, users can follow the instructions in this video tutorial through this link:

The Bucks Bake Shop days on campus are some of the library staff’s favorite! Clearly, we love supporting our Culinary Arts students.

They’ll be selling their delectable creations until 12:30pm today outside of the library.

Our Interlibrary Loan Technician, Kelly, walked around campus handing out lollipops to those who told her why they love libraries. This informal survey on National Library Outreach Day revealed heartwarming responses such as:

“I like to read”
“It’s a quiet place to study”
“We go there after practice all the time”

Anyone recognize these? One of the Library Techs discovered a personal collection of floppy disks from her time as a BCCC student. Long before the cloud, this was how students saved their documents!

Bucks County Community College students, staff celebrate Oscars at 2nd annual Movie Award Party The Oscars are on Sunday and students and staff at Bucks County Community College got the party started early this week, with plenty of fun activities lined up for their 2nd annual Movie Award Party.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Movie Award Party a resounding success: Learning Resources team, Student Life, OER Initiative, Poet Laureate Community Projects, Playa Bowls, Tyler Literary Society, Music Society, and Cosplay Club.

Special shoutout to the library’s amazing student workers for their help in set up, punching raffle tickets, and encouraging student participation.

She’ll also provide insight on the music, art, architecture, and literature of the time.
