Please join NADSP in recognizing Amanda Blocker who works at Developmental Disabilities Ministries (DDM). Amanda is one of 200 direct support professionals enrolled in the Georgia direct support professional credentialing pilot program which is using the E-Badge Academy.

About the Georgia Pilot: In early 2024, using funding provided by the American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA), the NADSP launched its most recent state-wide credentialing pilot program in the state of Georgia. Through a partnership with United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia, the NADSP enrolled 200 direct support professionals into the E-Badge Academy from 10 different agencies. The pilot is funded is administered through Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities and is one of three pilots in Georgia focused on workforce development. The objective is to determine if credentialing can be built into Medicaid reimbursement rates for HCBS waiver services. Part of the pilot is to address whether credentialing can be successful across through a cross-section of rural and urban providers.

Through this one-year pilot, direct support professionals in this program have one year to achieve their DSP Level I Certification through the E-Badge Academy. At the completion of this certification, DSPs in the pilot will receive a $6,200 bonus.

Pedigo ladies enjoying a relaxed day at their church, Stevens Creek Augusta. Having a church family is so important and, as you can see by the smiles, they are loving it.

Hi Hope ALWAYS has fun. Their church, Flat Creek Baptist, is simply wonderful.

We have been enjoying this amazing weather and, as always, we are eating very well. I love to see all the fellowship with homes getting together and having fun.
