Vacation was great, but it’s nice to be home. And look at this sunset!
Our trip home didn’t go as planned. Our flight went from delayed to cancelled! The next flight they offered was three days later — so we drove from Ft Lauderdale to Virginia Beach! I’ll be back to work the morning of New Year’s Day, but in the meantime, I hope to get some rest. Thankful to be home safe and sound.

We hope you all have a Merry Christmas!🎄

12/21/2023

Busy time of the year, but had to share these little blessings. I have the day off to run errands. I squeezed in a trip to DMV today to renew my license. Under 20 minutes total! (After making online appointment). Afterward, I stopped at WaWa for a cappuccino. A gentleman recognized me as being a news reporter. Then later at the check out, he called me over and paid for my drink! 🥰🎄

At channel 3, we’re celebrating our amazing executive producer, Jo Rosenberg, who is wrapping up an impressive journalism career. Jo is truly someone I’ve been blessed to work with - one who cares not just about the news we are putting on television but about her coworkers and their well-being. I can see why she’s also a life coach. Wishing her the best in her next chapter!

What a blast from the past! I dug out the old GoPro that I haven't used in years and have only used while SCUBA diving or snorkeling... and found video of our dive several years ago in Cozumel. It was the first time I had done a backwards roll off the boat. I remember being so anxious.
Enjoy the underwater video!
This all came up because this past week, I got to do two stories on the Virginia Beach Fire Department and how they're training on dive equipment so they could use it to perform an underwater rescue.
