Troop 23 is selling Spring Seeds for a fundraiser for the scouts. Please be sure to enter a scout name in your order so they get the funds in there account. These funds can be used for Camping trips including summer camp and our annual fun June Trip. This year the boys will be White Water Rafting in Maine!!!

Scout to help fix up site bordering Falls Pond in North Attleboro for service project NORTH ATTLEBORO — When local resident Keith Wilfert, 17, was younger, he remembers always wanting to be a Boy Scout.

Joe was a good friend of Troop 23 through the years. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family in these difficult times.

With much sadness, I share the unexpected passing of our Hurley Family Branch Executive Director Joe Halus on May 31st.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Joe’s wife Kristen and his two young children. The Hockomock Area YMCA community has lost a valued colleague and a true friend in Joe.

As we are still trying to come to terms with this, we wanted to share this news with our Y family. Our YMCA will be here to support Joe’s family and our Y colleagues through this difficult time.

Joe worked at our Y for 12 years, starting as the Outdoor Education Director and most recently for the last 4 years, as Branch Executive Director at our Hurley Family Branch in North Attleboro. Joe was dedicated to our YMCA’s mission & cause, and he leaves a lasting and powerful legacy at our YMCA.

We truly appreciate your support during this trying time and ask that you please keep Joe’s family in your thoughts and prayers.
